Are we talking an official cover on an album or stuff he did at live shows too? If the latter is included then Stratus would probably be my #1. I also love I Never Loved a Man (The Way That I Love You), Tower of Power's What is Hip, Love Changes and Baby Love from Mothers Finest. And I know this isn't really a cover but I loved anytime he played Sweet Thing (with or without Chaka). Paisley Park is in your heart

Case of you--my absolute favorite.
Live: the whole of the moon. Some folks have accused him as coming off egotistical in that song. Maybe he does but to me it works because it seems to have been turned into a song about black pride..the line 'you lied and you called me a coon' but i saw the whole of the moon.,,,WOW

Betcha By Golly Wow...his version is beautiful, as is the video. The video is beautifully sad (because of the circumstances with Mayte and their family around that time).
