Video: Harlem Stage Remembers Prince Check out the video "Harlem Stage Remembers Prince" produced by Harlem Stage. "An artist, activist and innovator who consistently broke the boundaries of form and continued to complicate and expand racial and gender identity throughout the trajectory of his career, Prince paved the way for generations of artists to be non-conformists. As he provided us with one of the funkiest and most soulful soundtracks to our lives, he liberated us and gave us space to BE – complex, complicated, unapologetic, self-defined and most of all beautifully and deeply human. His genius was truly unparalleled and an inspiration to all. In celebration of his life and legacy, we wanted to share footage from the Prince Tribute that we presented in December 2015 curated by Grammy Award winning bassist, Ben Williams entitled Dearly Beloved: The Music of Prince featuring special guests Goapele, Bilal, Frank McComb, Christie Dashiell, Wes Felton and Jason Samuels Smith. We hope that you enjoy this excerpt and join us in bidding him farewell." Here it is: https://m.youtube.com/wat...tW58Di0xkI | |
