That was one of the worst promos I have ever seen! (Largely because of that slow, dragging, monotone voice.) I bet back in the day I was geeked when I saw it. That last line about listening to Carmen's music live is still hilarious - talk about over-promising!

I saw this on repeat on the video screens for about an hour before the 2 german "Diamonds and Pearls" concerts I attended in 1992.

Ok, that was hilarious. That voiceover!
P must have really been gone over Carmen Electra because I just don't see it. [Edited 2/23/17 16:13pm] 2 sevens together

That one was on the Sexy M.F. VHS Single. Don't hate your neighbors. Hate the media that tells you to hate your neighbors.

At the time I remember saying this is some corny ass shit right here P! The symbol album promo cool even though the clanking sound for the symbol Was a poor choice but the Carmen promo LOL And you know P wrote every word of what was used in the voiceover hilarious!!! The greatest live performer of our times was is and always will be Prince.

Yeah, I remember this. The Carmen Electra aspect was cringe worthy at the time, but by then I learned to take Prince's "side projects" with a grain of salt. I never expected much from the CE project so I was never disappointed. "Get on Up" is a nice little dance number at best, but, since I loved The Symbol Album, the terribleness of the CE project didn't matter that much. Though I will admit that I loved The Ryde Devine special.

Not having purchased the Sexy MF vid at the time, I hadn't seen this since I saw it shown before the Paris D&P show I attended... 25 years ago!!!!! That's pretty awesome! . I remember, being 15, how teased I had been about this Carmen Electra record... Then came out and I was blown away, so I thought CE would be in those lines, I can't tell how disappointed I was with CE when it finally came out 6 months after I'd seen that promising teaser at Bercy. It was indeed a female counterpart to but such a cheap one . [Snip - luv4u] A COMPREHENSIVE PRINCE DISCOGRAPHY (work in progress ^^): https://sites.google.com/...scography/
