Gett Off

Is that right that GETT OFF is composed from a sample of James Brown's "COLD SWEAT"??? I read it in a magazine...

"Reminds me of something James used to say"
Fuck the funk - it's time to ditch the worn-out Vegas horns fills, pick up the geee-tar and finally ROCK THE MUTHA-FUCKER!! He hinted at this on Chaos, now it's time to step up and fully DELIVER!!

Edance

Gett Off contains a sample of James Brown's 'Mother Popcorn'
(it's a sample or a replayed sample, a sort of reference to 'Mother Popcorn'). I's the part where Prince says 'I like 'm fat, I like 'm proud'. However, the main part of the song is not based on this song.

buist

Gett Off actually came from his own song "Glam Slam". If you ever heard the Glam Slam version on the Jewel Box you will hear lyrics that would later become part of Gett Off.
