So it must have been in 2001 but when and why? was he injured b4 but he continued doing splits or he got injured during 2001 hitnrun tour? Well according to Sassie B: "well, you know, he fell in atlantic city back in 98/99 while he was touring with chaka and larry. then he fell on the hit n' run tour in 2001. when was the last time he jumped off of a piano? i know how silly that sounds but, really, he used to do stuff like that all the time. and i'm not talking about ten years ago, either. i saw him back in 99 and he was jumping and dancing and doing the splits like crazy. maybe after those two falls he just feels like he's too old to be doing that. better to look great doing what you're doing than to keep falling and have people making suggestive comments about if you can still handle it." So, indeed it looks like 2001!

Prince didnt seem like a type of person who would just stop doing something because he is not as good as he was.he is more a type of person who would stop if a doctor tell him if you do splits one more time you will never walk again

.
According to this Washington Post review (A GREAT ONE), he jumped off the speakers in Washington DC at the June 2015 shows. That's ten months before he was gone. https://www.google.com/am...-sprint-us . [Edited 2/18/17 18:05pm] Welcome to "the org", laytonian… come bathe with me.

This is true. I was at both shows in DC June 2015. He did jump off the speakers but no splits were done! I was afraid he was gonna fall but nope! Brillant shows. Have U had your + today?

I was watching P with Liv Warfeild and 3EG in Paris 2014 and although he was pretty thin and tiny, he was very bouncy...not doing splits, but dancing pretty energetic.
One thing I did notice that might've gone under folk's radar though was while he danced he suddenly stop and look at the band or the audience in mock offense...like he was giving himself a chance to have a break but make it look like the band or audience had offended him in some way. It was cute, but not an obvious way to take a break.
Also, some medications give patients an artificial energy boost and they may not be in their usual agonizing pain cuz they're sorta "high" on adrenaline/endorphins and later when they're alone and crash...the pain rushes back.

It's true. I was at both shows as well. He got on top of the speakers, and brought out Stevie Wonder on the second show.

I saw him do the splits at Aladdin on 9th Dec 2000.
He jumped off a piano on Lopez Tonight in April 2011.

I don't think it's a good idea for Stevie Wonder to be jumping off speakers.

Yah, I was at that late show. I think it was more like a hop off a speaker, not jumping off some large tower, but yeah he really did stop doing that stuff for the most part. I guess we all now know that the painkillers helped keep the man in action.

There is no proof he took pain killers.

This is denial. He was in pain, he used pain killers. Fentanyl is a pain killer and he died trying to kill pain.

Yeah he did, and while I was watching it recently and saw he was about to I was like 'nooooooooo'....at least he put his hand on the top as he did it. He always said jumping of pianos was what it was all about....personally, I'd have been happy enough if he just sat in a damn chair a played the guitar [Edited 2/20/17 0:36am] Not like I love my guitar....
