I know he doesn't believe in anniversaries and all that gumbo and it would be a shame if he didn't share his fans appreciation for this milestone in his career.

Personally, I do not believe that this date in and of itself means a lot to Prince.

He was in music 40 years ago and the fact that he "officially" began his career 25 years ago today is probably lost on him. JMO
