If there are photos, and I can't imagine there aren't, then it's not for anyone else to see. Photos arent always taken to be shared with the public. They're family photos for a reason. They stay in the family.

What was Prince's quote? I can't remember how it went, but something to the tune of "too bad the one thing you don't have control of in your life is who your family is"...or something to that effect. When it was said, it was definitely meant to thow shade. Maybe someone here can post the exact quote....anywho, that's my take on why there's not many pictures taken with his family...if he could've "controlled" who his family was, he wouldn't have chosen them at all.

Yes, during the 1984-1987 period Prince's father was close to the camp... but not seen after that with Prince in photo...

maybe after hearing his father @ the UTCM movie premiere tell everyone he was the reason for Prince... Prince probably felt it best to keep a public distance lol

Apparently, I was unclear. I don't dispute the quote. So let me wipe the windows clean: Your assumptions about Prince hating his family, etc, are 100% wrong. You should do your homework. Tyka is the one in charge of NPG Publishing's pulling down stuff on Instagram (happened to me the same month but before the day he died), YouTube, etc. The email was from Tyka's account. Prince owned most of the homes his siblings lived in. He gave Duane, a half sibling, a job for years and years. He took care of his mother, and she was often at Paisley Park during those one-off gigs. John lived in the Kiowa Trail house until he passed away.

Below is part of an interview with Cat about P asking her to choreograph the music video U Got the Look. It was shot in Paris. Cat met his mom and Omarr there so there were times when his family was around.

"The "U Got the Look" video was amazing. Sheena Easton was funny. I told her "You have to be sexy and you have to walk backwards." She said "But, I will fall! I will fall down!" I said "Just do it." It was cold and I was freezing. I was about to blow off the stage holding on to Prince's coat and she said "Oh, I can't, I'm scared." I said "Just do it!" It came out really well. I actually enjoyed that video.
Prince's mom came (to the set). That was the first time I met her. She was so beautiful. A doll. Just gorgeous. I met Prince's little brother. He was so cute and he had a crush on me. I was like "Bless your little heart." I can't remember his name, but, he was just adorable. He had green eyes and curly hair. Prince's mom was really short like him and adorable, sweet, kind. Just awesome."

This lead me to think about when my family takes pictures-there was a time when we took pictures for everything-graduation, birthdays, good reports cards, pay raise, its Friday. I love this at the Holiday Inn, OldFriends.. I was just watching it- his dad was so cute being interviewed seemed like a very sweet man FYI the gir in the black beside his dad is Devin Devasquez who wrote that Day it Snowed in April book

I met Mattie in 2000 at the Celebration. She died just two years after that. So, there is nothing to say that she wouldn't have remained on the scene. And Prince's dad died in 2001. There was an interviewer that Prince took for a drive around his hometown and met up with his dad, and they went to shoot pool. So, his family was still around. As for photographs, as someone said, family photos are just that, family photos, and aren't taken for public consumption, unless they decide to share them with the public. (Personally, I hope they don't share them. I think if Prince had wanted them out there, they would have been put out there.) You know there is this old idea about how an individual can talk about their own family members, but let anyone else do so and that person would come unglued on them. Prince didn't have the best childhood, many people don't, but it doesn't stop us from wanting a relationship with our family. Keep in mind, that there were some things Prince wrote that was pure fiction and other things that were more autobiographical. He sang in Extralovable that he was on the verge of rape and then sang that he was gonna have to rape her. I don't think anyone here believes Prince would rape anyone.

Whether Prince loves or hates his family, I literally cannot fathom why you want to see pictures of them. That's just nineteen shades of invasive. They're not Prince, they're not famous, and for the love of GOD, leave them the heck out of it. Really.

What do you want pictures of his family for? Geebus.
