And lastly, a fully remastered release of Prince and the Revolutions concert in Houston, Texas on January 14th, 1985 during the Purple Rain Tour as well as the 1983 First Avenue concert where many of the original PR tracks were performed and recorded.

Nope! Bit too bland for my liking! I'm hoping there will be a lot more unreleased rarities than this! Where is G-Spot and Possessed (intrumental and vocal versions?) as well as the 'Wonderful Ass'? What about songs from the film like Modernaire and Jungle Love?

I really hope all the 12" versions will be on there and all the bootleg versions of the songs to make the bootlegs obsolete. Plus all the outtakes. |

And I think remasterd versions of The Time and Apollonia 6 albums would be fitting all with extra's like 12" versions and for The Time there First Avenue concert where The Bird and Jungle Love were sourced from. |

The initial suggestion is a bit bland for me. It is fine having the 12" and already released B sides on the main disc of the soundtrack. The additional two CDs should be purely unreleased to my mind and not include the B-sides and extended versions that were already all released in 1984/85. | |

Sadly I think the songs will probably repeat themselves a bit and the original album will just be like it was (just remastered)
Disc 1-- Original Album (no changes, just remastered)
Disc 2 (the music in the film that was not included in the album and b-sides) The Bird Jungle Love Sex Shooter God (sung) God instrumental 17 days (same version as B-sides compilation) Another Lonely Christmas (same as 17 days) Father's theme Irrestible Bitch
Disc 3 (outtakes, longer mixes, vault releases) Electric Intercourse G-spot (hopefully his version but could be Jill Jones as well as his) Possessed Wonderful Ass ==and then longer versions of the album cuts.
I think we will probably be just a little disappointed in this box set. But if it has Electric Intercourse, has vinyl versions and doesn't cost more than 100 dollars, I will be happy.

Even just having the original album remastered is a great thing for fans. His eighties albums are SO quiet and have been begging to be remastered for years now. | |
