Diamonds and Pearls large hologram.

Hi all
Years back I used to collect 3D prints like lenticulars and holograms.
When Diamonds and Pearls was just released someone working in the record industry gave me this nice hologram which I thought was meant to be on the vinyl album (see picture 2 where the size clearly matches what it should have been when used on a 12" sleeve).
I'm trying to find that version on Discogs but it looks like it was never released in that form?
So what's this hologram meant for then? Was it from a pre-production run or something or does a vinyl version with hologram exist?

I think I've seen one of these before. It was an instore promotional item that was like the CD but bigger. I'm still not 100% sure that there wasn't a vinyl in the mix that was planned... that's would have been amazing.

Thanks for responding.
Well, the reason I thought it was meant for the vinyl album is because it's the correct size. It's a bit strange as a promo item since it doesn't have any text on it at all. Perhaps they'd planned the vinyl release but didn't go through with it since it was too expensive.

Ha no, I wish smile
But the measurements you see there look to be of the frame, not the hologram itself. I think that's about the same size as the CD version.

One of the bios talks about this. Try Matt Thorne, "Prince: The Man and his Music." That one is the bible, best bet.
