The only other versions really known to exist were the studio version without the intro segue and the version tucked into The Purple Medley. I'm not even sure how he'd extend that one and keep it interesting. It's perfect as is. Some songs have obvious choices for extending etc., but IIWYG seems to be exactly laid out as we hear it, not begging for a remix.

I've always wondered about that. I eventually thought maybe it was kind of a 'force-of-habit' situation where a Prince 12" without an extended mix was oil and water.

It does say it on the reissue. Those reissues are usually carbon copies when it comes to artwork etc, unless there's an additional "remastering" credit or something like that.
