Prince shaving over the ear I always thought that strange Romulan look Prince had going then in the mid 90's Come/Gold era was also an attempt to look almost sci-fi complete with floor length robe and high neck tunics... in fact the shaved part over his ears made it look like pointed ears when seen from a distance. so that's what I figured it was, a way to seem to have pointed ears without actually having pointed ears. Ha! This is a great point. I always wondered about that shaving he did behind his ear. It wasn't one of my favorite looks on him. He was trying to look alien because he really was in a way...  | |

Well, to make matters even stranger: I believe I read he had a tattoo there. Of the symbol, as you can see in the emancipation booklet. As it was never mentioned again, I assumed it to be false. But since we're talking aliens, I felt it appropiate to mention.  | |

I remember the tattoo on the head rumors. Ppl also thought he somehow shaved "Slave" on the side of his face. The truth is it's an eyeliner pencil n both cases. | |

It was no more a tattoo that the word slave was. It was drawn on just like slave. Prince didn't like tattoos per a few lyrics. | |
