Chris James, the Grammy Nominee in the Best Engineered Album for HITNRUN:Phase 2 talks about working with Prince Check out Chris James, the Grammy Nominee in the Best Engineered Album for HITNRUN:Phase 2 talk about working with Prince on a podcast produced by Recording Studio Rockstars. "Chris James is a Los Angeles based musician, songwriter, producer and first time Grammy Nominee in the 2017 Best Engineered Album - for Prince, HITNRUN:Phase 2. In 2012, Chris James began working with Prince at Paisley Park Studios. Chris recorded and mixed countless Prince productions including the Warner Bros. released albums, ART OFFICIAL AGE and PLECTRUMELECTRUM -- along with many unreleased songs for the legendary Prince Vault. A personal career highlight was when Prince invited Chris James to play guitar on ABC's Jimmy Kimmel Live. Later that same year, Prince insisted he tour as live sound engineer where one notable gig included the critically praised set during SXSW (Prince’s first and only)." Very cool...thanks for posting. I wish the interviewer did a better job with follow up questions. H&R2 should've got more Grammy noms.

Unfortunately HITNRUN Phase 2 didn't win a Grammy. Went to David Bowie instead. Paisley Park is in your heart

Although to be fair, both are deceased and both really deserved recognition. Blackstar is a fantastic record in its own right
To me the saddest part is not that HITNRUN lost, but its that both Bowie and Prince are not here to make new music to be nominated for anymore

Well, I'm sorry Prince didn't get it but I'm glad Bowie did. "Music gives a soul to the universe, wings to the mind, flight to the imagination and life to everything." --Plato

Indeed. Two equally big losses in my music sphere. "Music gives a soul to the universe, wings to the mind, flight to the imagination and life to everything." --Plato
