Anyone's got the original 1999 12'' single?

I'd like to know how it ends, I've just realized since the album cut segues into LRC it's unlikely the 12'' version ends exactly like the album cut. Could someone check that out for me please?

I wonder if the version on iTunes/Tidal that fades out at the very end isn't precisely from that 12''.

Thx for ur help hug

Not sure how the 12 in vinyl fades, but the early fade was usldo used for Thr Crown Jewels a German promo CD from 1992.

Interesting! Both Princevault and Fishpaw missed that and since I don't have it so had I so far, but I see Discogs makes mention of it. So that could be the origin of this fade if not the 12''? I'm pretty sure dozens of orgers have the original 12'' though, it'd be great if someone could check it out.

I knew only about Batdance being a unique edit on TCJ.

I should clarify:
I don't have the actual TCJ CD but a burned CD -R made from a lossless shared file.
I presume it's what's on the original CD.
Maybe someone else can verify.

Yes, The Crown Jewels has a slightly early fade out.

What's really odd is that on The Crown Jewels, 1999 and Little Red Corvette are sequenced back to back. So 1999 is the album version with a slightly too early fade, and then it goes right into LRC album version.
Why didn't they simply leave the tracks as is?

I don't have The Crown Jewels promo, but both Prince Vault and Discogs says "Little Red Corvette" is the edit version on it. So that would explain why the segue isn't smooth like on the 1999 album.

The original 12" didn't have a unique ending, just a very quick fade on the "oooooh" that bridges 1999 and LRC on the album.

^That's the one! That fade is unique to that version and that also explained how it ended on digital releases of the album!

Yes LRC is the single mix. I stand corrected!
