It seems like everyday there are more and more rumours about Prince that bring me down off my purple high. Rumours about prince packing up and moving, rumours about him retiring from music, rumours about babies, rumours about siblings, rumours that a friend of a friend of Prince's half-brother's girlfriend's daughter's babysitter told someone...it's really become ridiculous! I don't ever recall a time when I had to sort through so much shit on the org just to get to some cool stuff. I'm sorry to sound this salty so early in the morning but, really, it is so out of hand. I enjoy having the conversations with the great people i've met through the org and i love getting into debates and discussions with everyone but it's just so sad that i don't even come here for Prince related issues anymore. The other day I was reading something posted on here (another rumour) and I caught myself getting all wrapped up in the bad news it was spilling. Then I realized this probably has as much truth to it as that article about the party at the park on 8 March. I guess what I'm saying is that I wish peeps could just dig Prince and take things as they come rather than create hype and spread rumours that either kill the high immediately or create excitement that will, in all eventuality, disappoint us when we find out it is false.

It's one thing to taalk about your hopes or wishes or whatever, it's another to create lies or twist things up just for some attention. I like prince.org a lot more than any other fan forum but i just wonder why it is that the bowie forums and the janet forums don't have nearly as many rumours flying around.
It's just unfortunate that i have to ignore everything "news" related on the org on the probablity that it is a rumour and not for real.

Seriously, I have just recently started coming back over to this forum again. It got so ridiculous, but it's the Org. People are generally free to post anything they want here. If you see something that you know is rumor, skip past that topic and start a positive one of your own. A lot of the rumor topics probably are started to see which people will actually believe them and respond.
