In the "Still Would Stand All Time" version from the 1988 Lovesexy small club aftershow (not Graffiti Bridge), who is he correcting when he says that? He was too much!

BTW, I much prefer these lyrics and music over the Graffiti Bridge spiritual, take me to church version- especially when he goes through the days of the week.

He's just singing to some fan who's singing along, I think.

He's correcting Bonnie Boyer. There are other threads about this in the past as well. And yes, this is my very favorite version. And one of my top live performances as well. He's just in the moment...but then again...he always was

Thanks! I thought it was Sheila! He was always very much in the moment but someone singing the wrong the lyrics, was enough for him to be like, "wait up, what the .. is that?"

This version, to me, is far better musically and lyrically than the one he used for Graffiti Bridge. Was this one ever released on an any album?

Taylor Dayne wasn't at that show where he says that. She was at the Hamburg one.

I have been positively addicted to this version since y'all posted about it. It's a career highlight, IMO. I just want that guitar solo on loop in my head to get through this year.

The funny part is how Prince tries to slyly correct Boni two or three times...putting emphasis on his WOULD...before finally losing it. Awesome moment...
