Which Prince song would fit a GTA radio station?

I've played a few games up until this point and what they often do right is bringing back good music that can be rediscovered for players. What always bugged me was that Prince or any Prince associates never appeared in any game (that I know about?). So my question is, which Prince song would fit in any station from all the games? Since his catalog including associates is so vast and deep this could get very interesting. Should he be on Fever 105 from Vice City? Is he rock enough to be played at K-DST from San Andreas? Or maybe contemporary soul to be put on CSR 103.9 from the same game?

What are your picks? Remember it can be any type of song, as long as it fits the radio station it is played on.

I played all the GTA's except for the latest one but could not tell you what any of the station names were, or what music they played.

I don't play video games. But a friend of mine told me, a few years ago, that he thought I'd like a certain GTA station. It was K107, and that old queen Karl Lagerfeld was doing the voice overs on it. He was right - it was a funk-dance station. I downloaded the soundtrack for it.

As far as Prince songs, I feel like "Peach", Jack U Off", "Sister", "Adore", "Bambi" are the first that come to mind. Mind you, I have no idea of GTA's ideology on putting songs on those radio stations in the car.

Sorry, it's the Hodgkin's talking.

What about 'Moonbeam Levels'? http://gta.wikia.com/wiki/Moonbeam wink

More seriously now, the first one that came to mind is 'Bambi' actually. I don't play though, but I know someone who does...

Maceo and the Macks features with 2 tracks on Master Sounds 98.3 in San Andreas. There's also George Clinton on Bounce FM. 'Bambi' would fit well on the K-DST playlist though. It's the most ecclectic station and is closer to that song's era. CSR would be good for his songs from the early 90's like Gangsta Glam maybe. http://www.gtasanandreas....oundtrack/

Freddie Jackson's Have You Ever Loved Somebody was on the Vibe station and that was covered by Najee (played with P late 90's/early 00's) so kinnnnda associated?

In that vein, I could see And God Created Woman on there for one...

Can't name any of the stations, but I think songs like 'Erotic City', '777-9311', 'Head', 'Sign o the Times', 'Little Red Corvette', 'Peach', 'Lady Cab Driver', 'International Lover', 'Escape', would work nicely.

Would be pretty awesome if you've just stolen a car, are on your way to the next mission and Bob George starts playing.

It depends on where the game is set. If it's in Vice City, then I'd say something like When Doves Cry might fit.

Someone needs to make a GTA mod with Prince and give him his motorcycles, a Ford Thunderbird and his weapon should be his guitar lol

Or they could just do this:

I think he wrote enough songs to have his own radio station that plays nothing but Prince and assiociated artists songs.

There´s a radio station in GTA IV called Tuff Gong radio that plays nothing but Bob Marley songs.

His music is so diverse that his songs could also be played on several stations. There is a Funk station, a Rock station, Pop, you name it.

But I think a station that plays just Prince music would be perfect.

I used to custom a radio station on GTA Vice City putting late 70's disco music and songs from Prince (1979) album with I Feel For You & I Wanna Be Your Lover so yeah his songs would fit perfectly just like putting Nasty Girl in one of the strip clubs.

I hope Rockstar make a radio station dedicated to early 80s Minneapolis Sound artists. make it happen pls.

Good suggestions here...I think 'Loose' would be a good driving track when being chased by the cops!

I'm also wondering if P has ever been mentioned in games?

I have a memory of playing a game where there was an 'Old Man Johnson's Farm' and another reference further in the game too...it was either Borderlands or Borderlands 2 I think.

There is a line said in Vice City Stories, set in 1984, on the Flash FM station that alludes to Prince:

Teri: The great thing about music before videos, was you didn't have to see naked purple midgets crawling out of bathtubs.

Yeah, the co-host of that station, Teri, was annoying.

If it's Vice City I think any of his 70's / 80's music would do.

I can see 'Let's Work' playing while running from the cops.

In Mortal Kombat 3, there was a character named Rain, who was a 'prince' and wore purple. The creator was a big Prince fan!
