His music is from God

Damn, man. Just listen to The Question of U.

Crank it all the way up or listen to it on low. That dude, man...

Every sound was in place from the dissonant flute to the flurry of keyboard notes toward the end.

Never again!

I'm just sitting here thinking about tracks from his career.

YOU can just play a lot of his tracks and just drown in a sea of tranquility ๐Ÿ”ฎ....

I come home from my day, put on a Prince track and it's like having one big Prince party in my living room. ๐Ÿ˜ƒ
On my dance squad, a long time ago, they often wondered where I got some of the music from. Well I choreographed some of the dances from his music.

Ive been listening with headphones lately...Then you can hear layer upon layer of delicious subtle colourful shades of often discordant melody and slightly out of time harmonies...the Perfection of his imperfection is something else....

Going to Listen to The Question of U AGAIN now...thanks for this thread...

His music was from his brain. No need to add nonsense-poeticisms to something already poetic.

In my opinion our conscious is our soul. I believe that we're all children of God. Each of us has a part of Him in us, in our brain. Our brain allows us to do some wonderful things like use radiation to battle cancer or create computers or create self-driving cars.

Music in particular is pretty weird in how you can come up with things. I'm a budding artist and have heard whole songs just flow out of me. I've also had movie ideas and scripts just flow out of me that I look back on and say, "What in heaven just happened? Did I really write this?" Even having a child is frigging magical and heavenly; you have sex and then one day out pops this whole other person who you teach to talk and can go on to do great things.

Part of Prince's conscious was music. That was the wonderful thing that God worked through P to do.

Prince's music can be so powerful and moving; the way that he sung and the way that he played instruments...was magical. We're all part of that elephant in the room that's God. How you choose to live in this life and follow the God that CAN be in your soul is on you.

For all the nonbelievers or true believers...whomever.

LIFE CAN BE SO NICE...kiss me once, kiss me twice.

What about those people like me, who don't believe in God and just may think Prince had the musical gift in himself.

.

Besides what would music from God sound like if he existed.

Got some kind of love for you, and I don't even know your name

You're free to believe whatever you want. That's the world in which we live.

I just happen to believe God is in our conscious. He's the good in humanity. God is the spirit of positivity and love, in my opinion.

That's what Prince is to me...positivity, love and power.

I hate live recordings that aren't soundboard quality. I don't know how people find the perseverance. Fuck bootlegs!

The world's problems like climate change can only be solved through strategic long-term thinking, not expediency. In other words all the govts. need sacking!

If you can add value to someone's life then why not. Especially if it colors their days...

His brain is the product of 13 billion years of evolution. We're all capable of creativity, just as our ancestors were - the only thing that has changes is the way we value and precieve it.

Glib response - Prince died, there is no God.

Actual response - There is no God, Prince was an exceptional human being.

Its funny then that on many an occasion Prince Credits GOD as being the Source of his creative Gift.

Maybe thats his humility, that he didnt want to take credit himself for something that was overwhelmingly brilliant..I.D.K

I think that's the source of all his experiments with gods and spiritualism - it was too much of a headfuck for him to accept that he was just really exceptionally talented for no real reason other that the way his brain grew. (and of course all the hard work and practice he put in)

He tried to find a higher purpose to rationalise (if that's not an oxymoron) his talent.

In Prince's own words:

On making music a priority
โ€œMy greatest musical education I think came from listening to records. And I think that should be integrated into the school system, that kids learn and hear from the musicians themselves why they got into music in the first place. Itโ€™s a God-given gift and when a musician gives back onto that glory, itโ€™s a wonderful thing.โ€
โ€“ on MTV-

I think it is more disrespectful to Prince to belittle his beliefs of where he believes his music, his gift, came from, regardless of what we believe or don't believe.

I think Prince is proof of a Creator. But I also think we should recognize how hard he worked
at his craft. Just like Mozart, Prince was a proper steward of his craft. Music appears to have
been something he grasped with ease but we all know how many hours a day he practiced,
which is a human endeavor completely unattached to anything divine or supernatural or abstract
like "talent" and "genius."

I am not a musician so I don't really understand the calling or devotion artists have for music. I am mystified about how much music Prince had in his head and the urge, drive and ability to put it on paper in such a short amount of time. To be self-taught, create, write, arraigned, sing, dance, produce, promote, teach and mentor. To me God, laid his hands on Prince and gave him this gift and mission to him alone. Nothing else makes sense.
