Regarding The Love We Make, I have read the same thing, that the song was written for Jonathan Melvoin, Wendy & Susannah's brother. He died in 1996, and at the time of his death, he was a member of The Smashing Pumpkins.

Anything funny, cheeky yet harmless that he said. P being a smartass.

"Ask your boy" to Questlove after anniliating Jimmy Fallon at ping pong and quest asking "What happened."

"Do you have a concert ticket?" to the audience member when he asked him how he defined 'real' music.

Calling Brooks "Grover Looking"...and also "You all want a whole lot for 200 dollars. Just kidding".

Talking to Kurt Loader about his name change and saying how things might be different if people called him (Kurt that is) Malik. Also the "Ain't you got a woman" line from the same interview.

After MOrris Hays tried to get away with being late for something by referencing Prince's statement about time being a mind trick. and Prince reacted:."Well, how about I Jedi-mind trick you your paycheck next time."

"Its not that I am that good. Its just that Charlie is that bad."..LOL.

When he told Mel B to call him "Spud". and when she asked why, he said "YOu know."

His funny but mostly harmless burn of Mayte's mom (I presume) in the Tavis Smiley interview..."She didn't know the English language too good but she had a cute daughter and that is why we were.. uhh... acquaintances. But she thought the lyrics to Little Red Corvette were "Pay the rent collect."

When you sit down to write something, there should be no guidelines. The main idea is not supposed to be 'How many different ways can we sell it?' That's so far away from the true spirit of what music is.
