Okay, this is kind of a silly question, since it's based on my finding an .m4a audio file (with a meaningless to me name-- just a string of letters and numbers) in my Prince folders that would seem to be from this show (it's starts with Bill Withers' Use Me and then moves into a couple of Sly numbers, In Time and You Can Make It If You Try, as listed on Princevault, and Prince makes references to the correct band members for it to work). I have no idea where I got this file from, and I don't know the rest of the show was ever set loose. In looking around at a few sites I see references to circulating recordings of Let's Go Crazy, Thankful N Thoughtful (which Princevault doesn't list for this show), and You Can Make It...--but no indication that the particular section of the show I seem to have.

So, the question is--does anyone know if a full recording of this show is out there? I like what I hear in what I have, but I have no idea where I got it from or if there is more available. Anybody know more?

It's the same file--I only really listened to Use Me (it got my attention and held it), and then I just kind of skimmed bits of the rest (it was late, I was sleepy). I didn't know either In Time or Thoughtful N Thankful--so I skimmed bits of the Sly versions, and couldn't really tell what it was (I didn't get lyrics in the bits I listened to of Prince's versions, and, again, I was barely awake). But, in my defense, they do really play a bit of You Can Make It If You Try at the end.

So, I guess I got it from the Lovesound 89 account--I remember downloading the rehearsals as he was posting them. I don't remember getting this file, but it might have been at the same time that I was getting a bunch of other stuff and I failed to retitle it and I just didn't listen to it before.

This was such a great night at Paisley if it's the night I am thinking of. Kirk was on drums and after the show I asked him about several titles of songs but he said they didn't have titles they were just jams. I remember one having the james bond theme worked in.
