My Grammys tribute prediction -- yours? . I think we'll see a huge surprise at the Grammys. They have to top ALL the other tributes; they can't use the same people over and over.
There is only ONE group out there who could do the job and they (reportedly) even gave a private concert this week in Las Vegas. The word is that they are ready to start touring. What a better way to announce that they are ready than by playing at The Big One?

It needs to be all Prince anyways instead of same ole same singers n albums so watching it will be and anonymous decision and accurate peekaboo here and there with infamous side eyeing in memory of prince last year's Grammy reading to say the WTF The weekend handing him the won Grammy lol and the weekend acknowledge prince as he also speeches of his own speech..IT WON'T B THE SAME ANYMORE...PRN MY LOVE....          | |

You know who I'm talking about: The Revolution . That would be cool but his career spanned 30+ years. It would be nice if more of that could be recognized. Of course if it's like the Bowie tribute there won't be a lot of time and so one or two artists tops will be doing it. In that case I'd certainly rather have the Revolution doing it than some of the other names floating around. But I want it to be a tribute to him and about him, not a kick off to a Revolution reunion tour. Paisley Park is in your heart

. He'd have won anything they nominated him for. Only 7 Grammy wins over the years (out of 32 nominations).

The general public has not been exposed to his most-famous band.

I don't disagree but I think Bowie's album got more attention and critical acclaim so I expect if they have to chose between him and Prince they'll chose him. HNR2 came out late in the year and distribution was basically P2P. I'd love to see it win as I think it's a great album. Paisley Park is in your heart

I have thought about this quite a lot.
No matter what it will make me sad as the only one who can do Prince, is Prince. What I don't want to see is Stevie, Or Bilal, or Erykah or Janelle.
I think it should be The Revolution, NPG members, NPG Hornz, The Time and Sheila. People who worked closely with him. To keep the younger set interested I agree Bruno should be involved as the kid is talented and he can hold his own as a live performer.
It is going to be sad though - this will be the last, public hurrah.
