...but what was going on around this time, SOTT and ending with Lovesexy and other unreleased work during this period. Prince (even for him) went to another level entirely especially in his performances.

I know we all have our favourite periods but I think Prince tapped into some level of creativity and output that we're all grateful for but could he possibly have flew too close to the Sun. I don't think he reached those heights again artistically (and maybe religiously).

His output was still great but I think this period of being able to do no wrong ended here...but why?
