Ron Wood playing the Blue Angel.

Just saw a clip of Ronnie Wood jamming with Prince on the Stones' Miss You from a 1988 club show. He looks funny playing Prince's cloud guitar, the Blue Angel.
Had Prince let any other musicians play his guitars before?!

I saw more than a few "special guests" play Prince's instruments. During more than one soundcheck from the ONA tour NPGMC members were invited to play with Prince on stage. Whether or not they lasted for more than a few bars was a different story. Look at the Prince in Hawaii book and you can see a local favorite musician jamming with Prince on Maui with Prince's guitar and he used his tounge on the strings. No comment on the one but it was a hell of a night! I don't count singing in the microphone for a couple of songs on stage as the same thing but if you do, than I can say that I did that too smile I've held Habibi but heaven knows, I would never dare play it. Some things are holy to me smile

PAUL PETERSON: Prince brought Bruce up and gave him a guitar to play a solo. Then he took the guitar over Bruce’s head and played a little bit, pretending like it wasn’t working right. He gave it a little look. And then he gave it this look like, “It’s fine now that I’m playing it.” He was giving Springsteen the attitude.
