For some reason I can't get that song out of my head. So short and simple yet strangely addictive. Young Prince's voice is so sweet and yearning... Kind of covers what I think about Prince. Sounds pretty good when Tavarus sings it, too.

Zo! and Sy Smith did a cover a few years back. Zo is crazy talented, and he did an EP of covers with folks (or a full album?) I interviewed Sy years ago. She's cool A.F.

This will forever be my favorite Prince song... It's the reason I became a Prince fan and didn't know it. When I was in my early teens I found a cassette tape with a mix of songs and there was these two songs on there that I had never heard before. Crazy You and Baby. I remember playing these two songs over and over memorozing every note. Then one day, I saw the video for Little Red Corvette, and I was so hooked on Prince from that moment on, but only heard him on the radio or saw a video on TV. When Pruple Rain came out, my mom bought me that cassette. I was so into Prince that I forgot about those two songs. It was not until years later when I started collecting that I found out that they were Prince! I was so shocked that I was a fan before I even knew it.

The simpleness of Crazy You, the guitiar, and lyrics, and the gentle voice, no huge production tricks, just him and the song, a great introduction to the Prince.

so happy to see this gem getting some love.
