The "You will never guess what I found" Thread The Thread title hints at the subject however first some background.
I am in my 40's and have listened and loved Prince since my teenage years, I began collecting back then, approximately 25+ years ago, about 40 12", 25 7" and about 50 cds. Since meeting my wife (around 16 years ago) and having a young family I lost my grip on collecting. However this Christmas I decided to get my collection out and have a look, the joy it gave me was immeasurable. Why did I stop, agh yes money! Anyhow I started pulling out the 7", 12" and most recently the cds. Using Discogs and eBay I started to learn more about the items I had gathered, more then I ever knew, so much fun. 7" First The first BIG find was a little 7", JAPANESE promo I remember buying because I had never ever seen it and had the hunch it was rare, not really knowing anything about it. The dealer charged me £250 and said he had never seen it before. It was as I realised Syndicate the rare Prince treat with Another Lonley Xmas on the A side, the internet revealed it was indeed rare, and the dove pictured on the front was in fact one of the mans. https://www.discogs.com/P...=iOS%20App I was now really excited to go through my remaining 7" as I had forgotten a lot of them! As it happens nothing came close to Syndicate, time for the 12"! The 12"
So there is nothing quite like a 12" record, especially a Prince one! I recalled a gatefold Japanese double vinyl I had so pulled him out, A large red symbol was instantly recognisable to me, but what was it called. Having a poke on the net I found it, "Strange Tales from the Rain" Yes! https://www.discogs.com/P...=iOS%20App Oh my, it's gone up quite a lot, however that didn't surprise me as it was always such a nice item. Looking at it on Discogs a linked item His Majesty's Poplife got my attention, that's nice I thought, I would like that. Reviewing its price it was clear I couldn't afford it. Skimming through my collection I found it, I laughed out loud and said aloud a few choice words, I have absolutely zero recollection of buying it, but I had it, I was very pleased. https://www.discogs.com/P...=iOS%20App The laughter continued as I found several coloured vinyls, sexy mf, gold and the double gold vinyled gold experience, wonderful stuff. Unknown to me inside the plain black sleeve tucked away in the middle of the rack was the marbled peach black album, I had been watching it on eBay with an itchy finger but kept my urges at bay, thank god I did that would have been a duplicate and a hard one to get by my wife lol. https://www.discogs.com/A...=iOS%20App https://www.discogs.com/T...=iOS%20App https://www.discogs.com/P...=iOS%20App https://www.discogs.com/P...=iOS%20App My cataloging took a number of days/weeks, as I took photos and recorded what I have. No more surprises left in the 12" as everything else was fairly straightforward, a pic disc, promo or standard release. [Edited 1/14/17 14:46pm]

I found a mint condition Crystal Ball CD set including the lyric booklet and The Truth CD for $19.95 at a random wrecka stow this past Fall. In the same store that day I also found the 21 Nights hardcover coffee table book including the live CD inside all in like-new condition for $24.99. I was pretty stoked about that Lol. I also found a brand new purple-colored 7" Purple Rain (B side = God) when I was cleaning out my parent's garage last Spring. I have no idea if it's worth anything, but I thought it was a cool find. It's a hurtful place, the world, in and of itself. We don't need to add to it. We all need one another. ~ PRN
