I'm not sure why anyone would be hoping to see that drugs were involved. Unless you're thinking of something else like an illness...
you're not getting me, i'm saying i was hoping there would be some thread of reason as to why he's not here. Why the hell would i hope he was on drugs? that's ridiculous. I still want to know what happened last april. |

Ok thanks. The riots theyre are talking about are these imo, as they made headline news. They started 27th oct 2005.
http://www.independent.co...09901.html
The riots lasted 3 weeks. Prince says ' if that city gets tore up it will be a shame," he was talking about Paris. So i would place this convo within those three weeks of late oct to early nov 2005.

Something to the effect of drug use being the reason for their split or Prince's change of attitude towards Mani. This is my normal life. These marital standards cannot be recreated with money. |

Right! I think this is what a lot of people were expecting to see once the divorce record was unsealing. There was nothing related to drugs or reasons for a split. Only dispute about money which leaves people to think Mani tried to keep it private so as not to be seen as a gold digger. Why else would she fight it? This is my normal life. These marital standards cannot be recreated with money. |

That's what I've been trying to figure out. Was his tornado reference his way of being facetious about their marital home being leveled by men with heavy machinery? Was Prince, in fact, the tornado?? yes, maybe he saw the connection ( the tornado being called Rogers) but she didnt. Baby, you're a star.

Even Ray Charles and Stevie Wonder can too. 🎶 I didn't know about militant being in the program but a lot of that memorial had her manipulation in it. Her brother gave a speech and her husband sang? TOTALLY Mani-done. I said this back then. She even had to be at the top of the ex-wives' page in that program, with Mayte's photos and quotes underneath hers. And Mayte and Prince had a child.
Yes Militant was quoted in the Prince funeral program and I'm sure it was Manuela who contacted him and put him in it as it was obvious that she put the program together and invited Mayte. And then I noticed on here, threads about her started to get shut down (gee, I wonder why?) One thing I have done and do not want to do anymore is to tear someone down on the internet - like we do with Manuela-- it does take on a wolf pack mentality and honestly, none of us know her. Well, maybe some on here do. I have tried to stop speaking negatively on here about her but it's hard when she comes across as so calculating each and every time. Gosh. So, I'm gonna stop. Because I wouldn't want someone doing that to me and I'm sure none of us would. So damn. That's all. I will sit on my hands to stop typing responses to all this.
You are incorrect. It actually was not Mani that reached out to me to be in the memorial programme or the video that was played at the service. (I was in that too - but it has not been published online because some ex bandmembers who are in do not want it to be online).
Yes - I am friendly with Mani. Mayte too. Dr Fink, Susannah, St Paul, Lala Escarzega, Apollonia, Jill, Tyka and Maurice... the list goes on and on.
And sure, it's tough to see threads where people attack people that I know....and they don't know. But I don't close any threads on Mani any more than I close any threads on anyone that are getting out of hand, and even then... other users have usually reported posts first. And for what it's worth, threads on both Mayte and Mani have been getting locked and removed by mods for YEARS before I became a mod, because half the time they turn into a complete shit-show. Not just the women he married, either - even some women he dated like Bria. Any thread on here that was about her was liable to go completely batshit insane at any time.
Many of you are weaving a false narrative here, and whilst you are certainly entitled to your opinion, you should at least be open-minded enough to realise that you aren't in possession of all the facts.
Yes, they got divorced and fans want to paint Prince as being a victim because, well, he's our hero and we rarely view our heroes as being imperfect. But remember that he also loved her enough to marry her in the first place. And as I said before, Prince also wanted those documents to be sealed, so if it's perfectly acceptable to some people to start painting pictures of Mani as wanting them sealed because they make her look bad, then you must also acknowledge that maybe Prince wanted them sealed because they made him look bad too.
Frankly..... this is all superficial stuff right now compared to what's happening with the Estate, Tyka and Omarr VS the other siblings, Londell VS Van Jones, the transition from Bremer to Comerica, the merchandising deal with Bravado and the royalties deal with GMR. Whilst people want to gossip about a marriage that ended over a decade ago, the business stuff that's happening right now will set the tone for Prince's entire future image and legacy. |

I doubt you know Mani anymore than anyone else here. I am not buying that crap. This not about making Prince the "victim". He was imperfect but she was imperfect too. Over the years she seem to want to call Prince out on something on social media but this file was such a issue. Mayte and Mani is not above criticism, especially when Prince has been thrown under the bus with put downs and insults over the years with no action. It was wrong to blame the fans for the Star Tribune being nosey and unethical. Period. |

Ok- I've missed something. WHERE are you guys reading this "transcript" of this phone call? Can someone post a link please? Also, my two cents- yes, major maniupulation on MT2's part- I also noticed how hard she went at it on her FB day this article came out. She is a pro. But, a bit too much of a pro and it comes off very clear what she's doing. I don't believe she told him about this school at all ever- she decided it the day he died I'm sure- Of course if she had spoken with him she would loudly say, "We spoke, he said //// " and she can't say that. As for these threads being deleted- I'm sure he'll correct me if I'm wrong but to me, it looks as though she has "befriended" our moderator Militant- by putting him in the funeral program- asking for a quote from him- which was wonderful for him but I feel more of her manipulation so that she can have him delete threads, whatever- I could be wrong. I'm sure he'll set me straight.
She's not a pro at all. Anyone can see what she's like. Even Ray Charles and Stevie Wonder can too. 🎶 I didn't know about militant being in the program but a lot of that memorial had her manipulation in it. Her brother gave a speech and her husband sang? considering that SO many threads which viciously trashed Prince were allowed to remain, locking threads that likewise trash his associates is the utmost in hypocrisy, imo.
BUT orgers, mind you we had best be very careful how we tread right now and here, because if we jack the thread this way and continue this particular discussion, this thread will go poof! along with our membership at prince.org, as has happened to so many orgers over the years.
we are not permitted to criticize or attack moderators at prince.org. period. and let's face it, they work really hard at jobs that are underappreciated, and sustain a lot of personal attacks. so let's show some appreciation for their presence. |

Sorry, peeps but since y'all have been judgemental upon her, I'd have to say that anybody who will bulldoze a house following someone quitting on them (divorcing in this case) sounds a little like somebody anybody would and should divorce. That a person on the end of that might fear to have terms made public follows straight on from that. That is some shocking behaviour right there. And as anybody who knows what happens when you divorce, the lawyers file the claim based on a general aim of 'get half'. The fact that this is generally seen as 'the man getting half taken' is not the mechanism but rather 'the contract being equalised'.
That's pretty kuch the emotionless fact of contract and law.
When it's company A suing company B for half of a contract and one party gets, in the end, a quarter, we don't hear much about it because there's no gossip value nor emotion value.
Marriage is the most bizarre contract of all because it's never realistic as a proposition at the outset (forever and totally yours etc etc) yet is presented in terms of 'the decent thing to do'. Actually, the terms of marriage are, being religiously influenced, dependent on nothing less than a miracle of a match or a miracle of endurance.

considering that SO many threads which viciously trashed Prince were allowed to remain, locking threads that likewise trash his associates is the utmost in hypocrisy, imo.
1- It all depends on how things are expressed. I have spoken my mind a few times and disagreed with them but never was I threatened of being banned, to be fair.
2- They are taking the liberty of attacking, criticizing, and banning orgers as you mentioned when they should be neutral, so I think.
Thank you! This is what I was getting at. |

That conversation P and MT had which mentions the house being gone sounds to me like it was October/November 2005. The mention of seeing a tornado and French riots on the news is telling. Google French riots 2005.
Which tornado was this? I cant find any info.
probably the tornado that tore the house down 'cause you got to know...how I feel about you babe |

1) Unless you are a moderator, or the creator of a thread that has been removed that we have reached out to, you are not privy to why a thread is deleted, so anybody that says "This thread was deleted because XYZ" is basing that on nothing but pure guesswork.
2) No member has ever been banned for simply expressing an opinion. People get banned for flaming and attacking, which is a violation of the site rules. No, you are not permitted to attack moderators. That's true - because you're not permitted to attack anyone. It's right there in the site rules. It makes no difference if it's a moderator or a regular member.
3) It's a misnomer to say that threads that bashed Prince were allowed to stay and threads that bash associates were not. That assumes that all the moderators are a single entity with the same opinions on what should and should not be closed. I've removed dozens of threads that have bashed Prince over the years and so has literally every other mod. I'm also sure that I've missed a bunch and so have other mods. We don't get paid for this. We don't get to read every thread. I've said it a bunch of times - if you're unhappy with a post or a thread, report it and we'll take a look.
4) Being "neutral" is in itself taking a stance. Just like any other opinion, you are free to agree or disagree. If I remain "neutral" on the issue of the unsealed documents, for example, I am implicitly agreeing to it by not opposing it, just like if you do not act when you see someone getting abused in public you are helping the assailant by standing idly by. I disagree with these documents getting unsealed because the two people directly involved in them wanted them to remain sealed. I do not believe either of them should be attacked for it, and that's all there is to it.
5) I likely take more heat than any other mod due to my visibility, but there is something that remains 100% factual here, and that is that on any issue, every single mod here has taken an action on it. So while it's easy to see some threads getting snipped and deleted and concoct a ridiculous narrative about me, the fact is that other mods took that action in many of those incidents. I would daresay that luv4u takes more action on threads than I do, so what's the narrative there? This is what I mean when I talk about a false narrative. But, some people are gonna have preconceived notions and look for things that fit their narrative even when those things aren't there. I don't mind, it is what it is.

- I agree about #2. There is a difference between disagreeing and attacking. I disagree with Militant but am still here and have been since 2000. I like some mods but not all of them.
- I disagree about #4. Being neutral does not equal taking a stance. The role of a moderator should be to make sure rules are followed and explanations are given without commenting or taking sides. If a moderator really wants to express their personal opinion, then they should open a member account and take a stance as they wish.
- I agree about #5: The deleted threads and snipping of posts overuse were not referring to you specifically. You don't delete threads that easily and take criticism rather well.

Anybody who ever went from being a fanlike admirer of someone's 'perfection' to emptying their laundry basket knows that 'it ain't all that'
is what I'm sayin

Lovely XSX 1st, P didn't bulldoze the house cause of Mani, it was not on account of her and those that were close enough to him know why he did it and it wasn't about her.... believe it was more important issue..and more dear 2 his heart (heart) [Edited 1/14/17 16:42pm] [Edited 1/14/17 16:57pm] P said he bulldozed the house because it was a dead house and infested. He then asked Mani how she felt about rhe bulldozing and she said it felt like a punch in the gut. Why would he ask her how she felt if it has nothing to do with her? Baby, you're a star.

It is hypocrisy. Mani is treated very kindly compared to Prince here. I appreciate the mods but their has be some balance and fairness here. This particular mod thought it was ok to blame the fans for what the Star Tribune was doing because people did not rally up on Mani side or whatever. That is wrong. No ask for Prince to pass away and than have this paper trying to dig up old files for dirt and gossip. It's been crazy land since he passed but this situation was out of our hands. The blame should put the lap of Star Tribune and the judge for granting the unsealing.

@redpumps, Spit it out!...LOL....because your last statement completely contradicts itself! Peace and Love
Lovely, Precious No my last statement didn't contradict itself, I made an error of which I corrected... All that I have said or been saying is the same... I wrote (was) instead of (wasn't ) and fixed it... Also you said ( to spit it out) ok I will ... without saying to much, ... plain and simple P told me why the house was bulldozed Also I knew before he had it done, why he wanted it done before then and it was a matter close to the heart and also cause of a condition within the house.....
Hopes... that makes it a bit more clear and my apology that i had and typo or error... when 1st posting... so when i read it i caught it about 5 mins later and fixed it..
Blessings hopes this clears things up Smiling Makes Joy Come Alive........and Joy can never die ......... |
