As as member of this community since its beginnings, a Prince fan since Soft and Wet and lifelong funkateer I wanted to share that the funk music book I began writing more than 25 years ago is finally out and available as an ebook on Amazon. It's a life goal of mine to help funk music stay alive and receive the acclaim, respect and attention it deserves.

The album reviews-oriented book is called "Everything Is on the One: The First Guide of Funk."

Oh please. It's been half a year since he died and we're already seeing a string of amateur ebooks flung up on amazon. Where else are they going to promote them but here.

Well at least he didn't come here barely two weeks after Prince passed and use his deceased mom for sympathy like that other guy whom you people love around here.

Writing a decent book is not easy but did you read his bio? The author appears to have more knowlege and experience regarding music than Hahn did when he wrote his book.

Y'all give everybody else a pass so why not cut this author some slack?

Want to update everyone that the book is now available in hardcopy, which is something lots of people requested. You'll also notice a new cover (some were not keen on the Prince cover and I did not want it to seem like I was exploiting his passing - but that initial eBook-only version is still available on Amazon for those interested; now it's a collector's item ha ha.) and there are some other additions inside too, like a Funk Final Exam at the end. As well, the eBook version has had its price reduced.
