Given Phaedras Role within Princes world over the last few years, One would assume that if anyone knew details about Princes deal with Tidal, it would be her.
I cant see her running because of that...

I wonder if there was a clause negotiated with WB which addressed his music in the event of his death, outside of the recent release.

I have wondered the same/ just what kind of deal could have been made for Warners to suddenly be willing to grant his masters back?

Excellent questions. I often wondered that too. Also, I wondered if the new contract addressed the Vault contents.

I think, and I could be wrong, Bremer was saying that she was removed since Bremer was in "control" of Prince's estate. May be a strong word. There are some documents on the Probate court site that give some information to this issue, but not much. I get the vibe, I am not an attorney so speculation on my end, she did not want to be removed. Also that there may have not been communication or great communication that she was removed. I think she is privy to more information, and she wants to continue her role as manager of the LLC. Just a hunch. However, since Bremer has taken control, perhaps she is CYA (covering your ass) from the May date, which corresponds to Bremer taking control over the LLC and Prince's businesses as a whole. Bremer is arguing since they are the SA, they have the right to remove her and run the LLC, that is my take on this situation.

Not INTERESTING .....
Disturbing !!!!!
Either WAY...
Someone (unidentified ) wanted Phaedra Removed.....Prince put Phaedra in that Position !!!!! WHo has the right to remove her ? OR
Phaedra wanted to be Removed : WHat the hec happened that she would not want to stay around and look after that which she fought long and hard for ???
This is not sitting well with me.....
Agree disturbing is a much better word here. There is more to this Phaedra person than we know.

One thing completely stunned me - I had never thought about it until a couple of years ago - but state tax departments require artists to pay taxes in their states if they make money in those particular jurisdictions. So if an artist goes on tour to 30 states, that is 30 tax jurisdictions to file in. Being an entertainer, as Prince was, requires a massive amount of legal and financial assistance. Unfortunately, whomever he entrusted these services to did not or could not successfully address end-of-life matters with him. So, IMO, these people patting themselves on the back for getting his masters back ... congratulate yourself about an absolutely unnecessary $100 million dollar tax bill.

Just a thought but why do you all care about this tax bill? The bottom line is that people (siblings) who had zero input in the creative process and/or making of the music are getting less money. Money they did nothing to earn in the first place. Seems like perfect P logic to me.

They should only get 20% tops. I asked Prince what he was planning to do. He told me , I'm going to look for the ladder. I asked him what that meant. If you look in the Carver county site you will see late taxes paid and no of record of a tax sale or a lien which is what usually happens not a foreclosure. He was late paying and he did complain to Channahasen city conucil about property taxes being to high. [Edited 1/19/17 12:08pm]

That may well have been P's point. His family did nothing to earn that money so why should anyone be worried that it is going off to taxes. Also a will would not have stopped taxes only a trust.

All things considered, I cant see him "planning" it that way. Major, major accident with unintended circumstances. Was there a life insurance policy? A will wouldn't change a thing. Carefully executed trusts, yes. Bit those are CONtracts. As for life insurance: That is only for those without solid assets to take care of dependents. P had plenty of assets and no dependents. Thank you.

I thought the her documents were sealed. I bet it was Londell who wanted to have Pheadra fired so he could make Universal the administrator and maybe cut a deal for himself ( at least that is what he has been accused of) I never understood why they wanted to the administration away from NPG records. All of the money that is collected could have stayed in house.

(copied from Laura) "That may well have been P's point. His family did nothing to earn that money so why should anyone be worried that it is going off to taxes." Great point. Also, sooo many of his women territorial, can you imagine his angst at having to then rate them monetarily? Well let's see she gets $100k, but I have to leave X more since she... and her I already paid! Etc. Etc. Perhaps he recognized the drama that could unfold.

Yes, going back to 2008 it seemed to have been an issue with property taxes.
Prince, The Artist Former... His Taxes
Also there seemed to be some confusion about a tax issue with the french tax authorities for shows between 2009-2010. A summons was issued compelling him to appear. What came of it was an apparent Stipulation of Dismissal by P (whatever that means).

Just guessing, I don't really know. But based on what everyone seems to think, Londell only does things that line his own pockets so my guess would be Phaedra allowed Tidal to put the music on line. If this is true, to her I would say BLESS YOU!

WEALTH CULTURE
https://www.bloomberg.com...ly-guarded
I posted another article about the details of his estate and how the handlers will make money and plus it look like they reduce the PP tours amount.
But damn quite a few people are going to be involve even though Prince was a complicated man in life and business.
Also I agree with this quote in the article:
"Though the impulse to control his catalog inspired fellow artists, it limited Prince’s exposure and hurt the value of his music." I and several others on the org (and even Questlove said this too) that Prince was hurting his legacy by kept his music off the internet pre-Tidal deal. So therefore the estate has some work to cut out to get his music to and keep his music in the mass.

Wrong he sold the most music last year and he forced people go out and but it since you could only stream it on Tidal and he got a higher royalty rate. He got the last laugh. If he had all that music on different streaming platforms he would have got the same old pennies everybody else was getting. I think it was Forbes that said the estate brought in 20 million in sales much better than 20,000.00 especially when the estate needs money for taxes. [Edited 1/19/17 16:16pm]

Maybe she did it because Prince had already approved the music to be on Tidal before he passed in some kind of handshake deal or maybe she just said fuck it to Londell and Breamer. One of the reason Tidal has not turned over any paperwork is because they said they do not have a deal with Breamer but a deal with Prince. Maybe Jay-z and Pheadra were working together to go against Londell once they found out he was a stealing butthole. Anyway just my guesses we shall soon find out.
