One Night Alone

One Night Alone Live

Any of the NPGMC singles and albums (Supercute, etc)

Goldnigga

Crystal Ball (the 5-disk version; I have the 4 disk in a jewel case)

N.E.W.S.

What I have 2 of is:

1999 (the ones with and without "DMSR")

The Gold Experience (one is a promo)

Lovesexy (one is tracked with fades at the end of every track making it radio friendly)

Musicology (one is the copy given away at concerts in the slip sleeve)

I have all the Prince releasd (WB and Post), and NPG albums on CD.

I am mad because my Gold Nigga CD's dissapeared about 10 years when moving. I was carrying the CD's in a 10 CD wallet and it went missing (along with Rave, one of my Emancipation Uncensored versions). My One Nite Alone Live CD 1 has craked when I was backing it up. Frustrating but at least I have them back-up electronically. I have quite a few doubles also.

Because CD is the only format?

MMM, they sent me that without any cost. I'm not sure why. I had preordered the NewPowerPak, but told the operator (she called) I would just buy it in stores, which I did. Somehow my name was still on the list, and I randomly got The War cassette in the mail. I still have it, and I still enjoy listening to it. Prince was ahead of his time with stuff said in there. And by that I mean he picked up on things in the media back then, that seem commonplace now.

Sorry, it's the Hodgkin's talking.

They were, but I've never owned them. I randomly found 16 in a record store, sitting on a shelf by itself for $8 a few years ago. Snagged that shit right up. I do have both albums on vinyl now, and I think a single or two. But those CDs are harder to find sometimes (it seems) than The Family or Jill Jones.

PS Discogs: 8 and 16.

NorthC

Rave (both of them)
NEWS
One Nite Alone (both piano and live)
HitNRun Phase 1.
As Rob said, it has no priority, but on the other hand, I'd like to complete my collection even if I probably won't play those albums too often...

There are a few fake Madhouse cd's too as you'd imagine. I'd love 8 and 16 on vinyl. Might be tricky finding good ones for a reasonable price though

.

As for my collection.. I never got cd copies of The Undertaker or The War so I'd like those one day if I could afford it. There are a couple of rare cd singles I don't have but I'm not too bothered about them as I have digital copies anyway. I don't have a genuine Japanese Apollonia 6 on cd either and don't really relish spending hundreds to get a copy.

I bought it out of completion, not because it was anything I'd not heard before.

I picked up an original copy of 16 on vinyl, in beautiful condition, just last week, for £7 in a secondhand record shop in the south of England... so they are out there, and not necessarily for crazy prices...

I don't think there's anything else I'm missing that I would actually want...have pretty much everything on vinyl that is on vinyl, plus a few CDs here and there for things that are not on vinyl... and of course a ton of digital files of, well.... everything.

Sooner or later I will buy it too for that reason, I know for sure.

Probably when I will see it for some ridicolous bargain price.

'Till then, I can't say I'm feeling missin' something.

Adorecream

New Power Soul (Some say its not Prince, but NPG)

Rave in2 the Joy fantastic (2000 remix one, CD's not in front of me)

All the NPGMC albums and NEWS

One nite alone

Kamasutra (I don't really want any of these, but If I saw any of them on disc form and not too expensive, would buy them for completion's sake)

.

Protege and obscure stuff stuff

Goldnigga (I have Exodus)

The War

The versace experience

1-800 New Funk

.

Have all the others, until a month ago, also Prince 1979, but bought a repressing in November 2016 and only copped For You in October 2013.

.

Have everything digitally and in bootleg form though.

.

Hardest to cop

1. Crystal Ball/The Truth , got a 4CD set of it in 2009 and it was not cheap, never ever seen another set of it for sale in a wrekka stow.

2. Most NPG era 1990s and 2000s albums, pretty much bought these as they were current and hence why I have them, although Rave, TRC and Musicology were bought 2005/2007. Understand all CD's from TBE exept Emancipation are quite rare now until 3121/Musicology.

3. Girl 6 Original soundtrack - only copped this disc in 2014

4. 4U/Prince - got them in 2013

5. The Black Album 1994 Official reissue, fortunate enough to get it given away free with my copy of Come in 1994 when I bought it.

.

Easiest

1. Any album from Dirty Mind to Lovesymbol (Except Black album) especially now its 2016 and they have all been reissued.

2. Especially Purple Rain and Diamonds and Pearls- just everywhere.

3. The Hits collections, particularly VBOF and the Hits/Bsides, 4 ever may go that way too, but Ultimate is much less common.

.

Also have a few cassettes and most of the stuff on vinyl from 1999 era through to the Come era.

Got some kind of love for you, and I don't even know your name

4Ever.

That's it. The only officially released CD by Prince that I don't own. The OCD in me eats away at me from time to time and begs me to buy it so my collection can be complete but I just can't bring myself to pay money for a collection of songs I already own.

"Some say"? Prince said so, when he chose to release it under the NPG rather than his own name. Shouldn't that settle the matter?
