Well it was good.
i think that the Prince tribute will be just about associating Bruno Mars' current sound with the Minneapolis sound and the TIme.
On the MOrris Day and the Time site, he has a picture that labels the TIme as the "Uncles" and the Mars boys as "Nephews.

Karoke night. Nice try but playing a 80's cliche version of Prince is not really a tribute. He is not a bad guitarist but Prince made that shit look easy and his vocals could be heard over the music better than Marz's. I like Bruno and I think he was sincere but this is not doing anything to cement Prince's legacy. It did remind me that Prince can't be dublicated however, no matter how talented I think Bruno is.

The Google Commercial made me cry...simply beautiful. Right when I was about to fume over the tribute, this little gem reminded me how much I love Prince, and seeing how is music touched so many people quickly turned my anger into tears of joy. That was amazing! | |
