"50,000" Hi, everyone. I read somewhere that Sting's song, "50,000", from his new album was written after Prince's passing. I wish that I could cite the source. Here is a bit of the chorus:
"50,000 voices rising every time he'd sing
I downloaded the song from iTunes a while back. Have you heard the song, and what are your reactions to it? Blessings.

I heard Sting on the Howard Stern show, and he elaborated on the song. He said it's about Prince, Bowie and a few others: . "Mortality does sort of rear its head, particularly at my age – I'm 64," Sting told Rolling Stone. "It's really a comment on how shocked we all are when one of our cultural icons dies: Prince, David [Bowie], Glenn Frey, Lemmy. They are our gods, in a way. So when they die, we have to question our own immortality (sic)." . https://www.howardstern.c...ew-single/ [Edited 1/7/17 6:24am] [Edited 1/7/17 6:25am] [Edited 1/7/17 6:26am]
