Wrekka stow rip offs Just went to my wrekka stow today, expecting my usual 12 inch single buy up. Until April 2016 often they would have 12 inch singles at any price between 7.95 and $15.95 each depending on what it was, and full albums used were like as cheap as $10 in some cases. Now since he has died, new vinyl re-pressings have taken over at least $34.95 per disc, 12 inch singles have virtually gone - except for a repressing of Lets Pretend we're married/Irresistible bitch. . But the albums are now a giant ripoff. Vinyl copies of the 2 record sets AOA, Lotusflow3r and 4ever were like $54.95 and the biggest ripoff were used albums, 4U and Prince were like $50 for used copies and a set of 1999 was $64.95, a single disc costing $45.95. Last year it would be $10 per disc so a used 1999 was $19.90. The biggest rip off was $79.95 for a used copy of Graffiti Bridge . I mean for real? (Remember NZ$1 IS WORTH ONLY 70 Cents USD. . The record was tatty cover and the records looked dusty and slightly scratched. It was an Australian pressing (Super common here). This is gouging as in 2014 I bought a pristine used copy of the album by Tusk Records in South Africa at the same store for $10.99. So a 700% price increase in 2½ years seems suspicious and snakes in the grass, what do you think. . I did not buy it of cause but did by a repressed copy of Dirty Mind, the Prince book by Mick Wall and a Michael Jackson 12 inch, there was little change from $100. . Do you guys have this problem where you are, with record stores getting greedy and pushing up prices when an artist dies. it'll be a good while yet before the prices are at what they were before he died, looking at discogs and it seems to be slowly calming down there already. The vinyl bubble might burst as well.

On another note, i bought A.O.A on vinyl yesterday, and it is two vinyls with like 3 tracks on each side! It gets annoying having to turn it over after 3 tracks! It was 18 pounds .
