He re-shaped R&B indeed & that trcikled down into wider dance music. His imprint is everywhere, how many times have you heard 'prince influence sound' or words to that effect used to describe a song or album.

I think hard work is what get's people where they are. Of course, if the average Joe practised singing 10 hours a day for 2 years straight they're still not going to be Whitney Houston. That is because certain people have more 'potential', not 'talent'. Prince realised his potential through hard work and experience. To say anything else is to downplay his incredible work ethic and mentality.
I got two sides... and they're both friends. |
