You guys, I don't know when I'll ever be mentally "ready" to visit PP. I just finished watching "3 Chains o' Gold" for the first time and his interview from 2014 with Arsenio Hall and he should still be here. It doesn't make any sense that he's gone! Also, looking at the photos of the inside of PP gets me teary eyed. I already know I'll lose it as soon as I enter. I talked about this with a few other orgers recently. For those of you who have already visited, what was your experience like? Was it really emotional for you and did you cry? Did you go alone or did you have family/friends there with you to support you? While trying some of Prince's fave foods that his personal chefs served, did you feel too upset to eat any of it? I feel like when it finally is time for me to visit, I'll most likely end up going alone. 😩😭😭😭 I'm really trying to stay strong but I don't know when I'll ever fully heal from this. He's just so beautiful inside and out, just mesmerizing and amazing in every single way. We lost an angel who will be truely missed. I'm really gonna miss his laugh, beautiful smile, eyes, voice....❤️❤️❤️💋💋💋 *sighs* He's one of a kind and can never be replaced. We love you forever Prince Rogers Nelson❤️🎸🎶

Yes I cried, in the soundstage room... Seeing all of the instruments from different eras... it was emotional. I recorded a 1.5 hour podcast for the "prince podcast" about my trip from the UK. It will be emotional but for me it was worth it. It's great that you just saw 3 chains of gold for the first time, my favourite era. Look up Symbol Album original intended version with more Segues, really good! A little longer

I haven't been to PP, yet, and not sure when that will be, but it all seems just too soon for me, personally. Prince was an incredible person and amazing artist; there will never be another like Prince. When we saw that beautiful rainbow over PP the day Prince died.....I knew he was in heaven, and it was his message to all of us, letting us know he is "okay".

I went recently and I'm glad I did altho there is something to be said for remembering PP as it was when he was here. As someone who had that experience I had a moment of panic upon arriving wondering if the tour was a good idea. It was fine tho. I went with 4 other people (family members) who are all casual fans. It was nice to go with others but they weren't a particular source of support. (Luckily there was a bathroom close by where I was able to escape when I became overwhelmed at one point and was able to have a moment alone to compose myself.)
PP is beautiful and I think you would be glad you went so I say do it at some point. You will likely regret not going if you don't take the opportunity.
Initially I got misty-eyed being in the atrium where his urn was displayed. But the guides were gentle and patient allowing folks to linger for as long as they needed. There are lots of other things on the walls around this area to also look at so that was helpful. You can also see and hear his doves above this area on the 2nd floor and for some reason they were comforting. It was easy to imagine P strolling down the open corridor above past his lovely doves every day. The other room that caused me some trouble was the PR room. For whatever reasons that room brought a flood of emotions so I fought back some tears in there. The large Soundstage area was another highlight for me. I could have stood there all day watching his piano & mic show from last jan on the huge screen. Overall there were so many pictures, posters, awards, and other memorabilia that I was grateful to see that made it a good visit.
The very last part of the tour is an area outside the NPG room where they were playing his super bowl performance on a large screen. I was feeLing quite nostalgic at that point being the end of the tour and all so at the point in the show where he hits the first note of his big solo in PR behind that large curtain and you see his silouette I lost it. I knew there was no stopping the tears and that's when I fled to the bathroom for a bit. After that I joined the rest of the group in the gift shop area. We didn't try any of the food offered but it sounded good.
Hope this helps you make your decision. I will very likely visit again.

Last time I've been inside was his M & P tour..I still can't go inside at all i will breakdown since he's is not in flesh anymore per se
