Who were the artists that inspired music of 3rd eye era?

Lot of stuff sounds like Black Sabbath and Led Zeppelin

but did Prince ever listen to Sabbath?

I love the 3rdEyeGirl sound. Took me a little time to get used to it, but I'm really liking it. The live shows are particularly good.
