dinner with delores is a great prince song from a half-arsed album. you cant go wrong with lyrics like "
Damn Delores, pick another subject please
Introduce the carpet 2 somethin' other than your knees"

come on, chaos is a throwaway by prince, 3 or 4 good songs but the rest are poor.

"I like it there" kill me ! Imagine a live rendition of this song...

Its a nice song with a gorgeous melody. I listened to it for the first time in a few years yesterday and I was suprised how 'fresh' and contemporary it sounds.

I think thats true of when Prince uses more organic, live, full-band sounds for his recordings. The parts of 'Diamonds and Pearls' and 'love Symbol' that are not 'electronic' and do not use drum programming sound almost timeless. In no way do they sound over 10 years old. Songs like 'Damn U', 'Sweet Baby', 'Morning Papers', 'God Created Woman', 'Money Don't Matter 2night' and 'Diamonds and Pearls' sound like they could have been released yesterday.
