Has Prince ever destroyed his guitar on stage? It just seems so common (perhaps cliche) for musicians in the heat of the moment to conclude a blistering performance by swinging their guitar around and blasting it to pieces.
Maybe cuz Im drunk right now but I cant recall Prince ever doing this on stage. The closest I can think of was LiveSexy where at one point he tosses his guitar off the stage. But has anyone ever seen Prince whack his guitar into the speakers, kick the drums over, or pull a Wendy O and saw his precious cloud in half with a chainsaw? | |

Not sure if I remember this correctly--
He did a invite only show here in NYC at roseland to promote the Preta Porter film. I couldn't get in (listened at the back door). I recall being told that at this show he had lit his guitar on fire! | |

At the London Apollo on the saturday night he threw his guitar to the floor, and walked straight off stage. He seemed in a real mood. I think 'Alphabet Street'. Correct me if i'm wrong people. "London, i've adopted a name that has no pronounciation.... is that cool with you?"

He's certainly thrown a lot of them around a bit,
but I think he's only ever smashed up one guitar, (the original white cloud one) as far as I'm aware. | |

in Köln,Germany on the new power soul tour he sang nothing compares 2 U and was using a lighted music stand and after this soft beautiful song HE TOOK THE ALUMINUM LIGHTED MUSIC STAND AND THREW IT IN THE CORNER AND IT ROLLED ITTO A BALL AND THE LIGHT FLICKERD AND WENT OUT ...everyone was like  why??? Bounce party y'all

u maybe confused with the Parade tour,where he played PurpleRain & broke a string from wailing on the solo so hard.
