Prince Song Parodies! Bobby Jimmy & the Critters 1987 Milkshake (Housequake)
Mona Lisa Qualified Kiss (Kiss) No Face 1990 Spanish Fly (Do Me Baby) Tom Mathisen & Herodes Falsk Dong (Kiss) Heebeegeebees 1985 Ponce - Purple Pants (Purple Rain) Bertus Steigerpijp Rits (Kiss) Anyone remember Milkshake!? It came out right after Sign O The Times was released as a funny parody jam based on Housequake. I forget the lyrics or rap but it was interesting and novelty, maybe had "Milkshake!, drink up already!" or something like that! It was only released on 12" and it had that Housequake drum beat sampled and recreated, not like a loop of the actual song. It was played alot on the RnB and Soul stations AND the Hip Hop shows of those days. Anyone know or have it or any of these fascinating song parodies?! | |
