Sweet anecdote about Prince from Dutch cabaret entertainer Youp van 't Hek

Youp van 't Hek is a popular Dutch cabaret entertainer who gives his funny, satiric views on the world in a column in a Dutch newspaper. Once a year those columns are issued in a book.
This year, he wrote about Prince's passing. This piece is entitled 'Shangri-La', which is another world for 'Afterlife' or 'Heaven' if you will. It's however a title of a song from Dutch singer Gerard Joling (unfortunately for us Dutch people) as well:

https://www.youtube.com/w..._XaXIBM3hQ

This Gerard Joling posted a tweet right after P's passing to let everybody know that Prince once visited a performance of Gerard Joling (probably by accident) in 1988, after one of P's own gigs in the Netherlands.

Youp van 't Hek writes in his column that he was devastated by Bowie's passing, than Johan Cruyff followed and next was Prince.
The fact that P witnessed Joling's performance probably speeded Prince's passing according to Van 't Hek.
Next he writes about having a dream about Prince: Prince knocks on his door and Van 't Hek and Prince have a midnight conversation about Jehovas Witness, God and music.
After the conversation has ended, Prince walks to the piano, gently strokes the instrument and starts playing. And Van 't Hek is amazed when he recognizes the song. Prince is playing 'Shangri-La'.

Shangri-La btw ( I just looked it up) can also be seen as Paradise. The place where Prince is right now.

Sweet isn't it?

That is very cool. Love your sense of humor, rob. Am amazed at how many folks have shared dreams of Prince, many so similar to each other. He is in our collective conciousness in a big way.

I just love these kind of conversations!!

Nice read about Youp too!

Gerard Joling, part of a group called the Toppers..... I've been thinking for a while, but I can't even make a decent joke on that one.

There's no need to come up with a joke. The Toppers are a joke themselves. It's hilarious how unbelievably bad they are. And they fill stadiums every year....
Probably just drunk people and very desperate housewives. And those who go to their gigs sober, go home drunk.
