I watched/listened to it. I thought it was lovely and serene.....nice visuals. I think it would have made Prince very pleased.

He sure had a type. Honestly, anytime he linked to a thing and it was a beautiful woman with curly hair I pretty much turned it off immediately.

I think he was at a turning point in his life -- he was sporting his "fro", and a more natural look, and he probably was attracted to that in his women, as well.

I think Natalya comes over as rather a sensitive soul and something of a free spirit, which I suppose fits the theme of the song nicely.

I really enjoyed her cover, and its accompanying video...though not half as much as my cat, who was sitting on my lap throughout, completely mesmerized by all those seagulls.

wow...I'm not trying to be flippant here, but the meaning behind the song is obvious, and one of his more obvious ones at that. Free yourself, be what you can be. Loe yourself so others can love yourself too. that they way she sings it hit me much more than his version. I actually think many of his songs are more impactful when sung by women. This is actually quite touching.
