. Olivia: You are so right. Jesus is the reason for the season!! A lot of people seem to forget what the true meaning of Christmas is all about. . I'm sure Prince had good reasons why he did no celebrate B-Days or Christmas; maybe it was too painful for him (childhood memories), and also he was a JW.

Prince had a good point calling Santa Satan. I told my son from the beginning that Santa is not real but Jesus is. Now to your question, I don't think Prince liked Christmas for a couple reasons. He was a neglected child living on his own at 13. What did he get for Christmas? Before that , when he was at home, it was abusive. With out good Christmas memories it will just remind you of heartache. Who knows what his Christmases were like. Then as a teen-ager, didn't his girlfriend die on Christmas? Prince might have enjoyed a Christmas with Mayte once.

. You are not alone. I don't think Prince was unhappy in his last months. He was very active and seemed to be enjoying everything he was doing. I'm sure he got sad, like we all do. Life can be so cruel. He would have been an amazing father. He is resting in heaven now with his Son. We all miss him terribly, but he knows how much he is loved and missed. It's okay to cry; grieving is an expression of our love for those we have lost.

Prince had issues with Christmas way before the JW period. maybe he did, i know i do, i rarely celebrate any holidays and wouldn't celebrate any if i wasn't trying to be polite to friends, i could do without it. Ya, bad memories. Also, Prince grew up Seventh Day Adventist, i'm not familiar with their ideas on christmas, maybe someone else knows. | |

I know, this has been a horrible year. We've lost so many wonderful people, famous and non-famous. . I lost my sweet Mother 3-years ago (next month), and the holiday's and birthdays are always the hardest to get through.
