I was raised to not believe in Santa, The Toothfairy or the Easter Bunny as well. My father before I was born practiced the Rosacrucian faith. but about a decade before I was born, my father left the Rosacrucian faith to embrace Christianity. He told me these same things that Prince describes in this letter and when I became an adult I wanted to find out the "truth" and everything that my father taught me as a child was confirmed with my own research and study.

Oddly, one of his songs on the Piano and Microphone tour was Linus and Lucy (which was introduced orginally on the CHarlie Brown Christmas Special. ) I am not sure in what context this song was performed though.

Maybe, he lightened up about this subject. AFter all, his CHristian buddies like Hannah and Josh Welton probably definitely celebrated Christmas.

I listened to Another Lonely Christmas, and kinda had some of the same thoughts and questions. Yet, he went out of his way to record a song that mentioned Christmas, so it was enough for inspiration. I'm betting he spent the holly jolly holiday working on the next great song!
