I love this era so much - 94 to 95 was pure class!.

.

Luckily I had the opportunity to go to a few shows and even aftershows!

.

The aftershow at the London Emporium was an experience of a lifetime.

.

To witness I Love U In Me was a dream come true.

.

I can still remember Gold as the finale and all of the gold paper falling from the ceiling!

.

lol lol lol

I still have the programme, filled with the pieces of gold paper that I gathered. A great evening...hearing 'Gold' for the first time, oh my!

Such an amazing time. I was a big indie rock fan and when Prince threw us this curveball it was like he too became an indie artist.

I remember him teasing the album by showing the "Welcome 2 The Beautiful Experience" in seleceted cities. I was at a Meshell Ndgecello show at Bimbo's here in SF & before she went on they showed it. People were really digging the new material so it was cool to welcome other people "into the know".

I was lucky enough to attend a charity gig at the LA Glam Slam which occured after the VH1 Honors taping. He played all Gold material, the material was so fresh and alive. It was cool to see him so energized by playing it in front of an audience. Stevie Wonder was led onto the stage by Berry Gordy & they played "Maybe Your Baby". What a night, what an era to be a Prince fan.
