This is hard because so many of his songs have amazing introductions. "When Doves Cry" came to mind because the song starts out with the guitar. The vast majority of his songs have intros. The only song of P's that I can think of off the top of my head without an intro is "The Love We Make."
I agree that SAIMH has a great intro. Here are some others: Let's Go Crazy The Beautiful Ones Diamonds and Pearls Cream U Got the Look If I Was Your Girlfriend Darling Nikki (not a song that I particularly like, but the opening guitar riff is pretty awesome) LRC Insatiable Kiss Mountains Anotherloverholenyohead Black Muse

Scandalous (sensual beat and synths) . Elephants & Flowers always gets me so hype . Zannalee (ripping guitar) . Empty Room (C-Note) . 3121 (that whole intro on good speakers 👌) . Joint 2 Joint (funky as fuck) . That's all for now 💜

Many, many intros, but I´ll choose Temptation, Hot Thing, Housequake and Bambi.

Agree with nearly all of these so far, but no one has said the most obvious one .... Around the world in a day, I mean wow squared, all the Arabic and Indian instruments and then he goes "Ohhhaowwooooowww!!" with the darbuka and sitar with a kettle drum. I mean wow, all from Jonathon Melvoin and Coleman's session in June 1984, that Prince gave them as a birthday gift. . The early version of Strange Relationship also has a beautiful Sitar and darbuka style opening. Got some kind of love for you, and I don't even know your name
