What's the last Prince song u heard on the radio?

State song, station and location if possible.

Just heard "Nothing Compares 2 U" (duet with Rosie Gaines), 94.7 FM The Wave, Los Angeles 😎
"Just like the sun, the Rainbow Children rise."

I think it was "1999" on a station here. We usually have music playing from another source in the car, but the time we were listening to radio, "1999" was on.

Sorry, it's the Hodgkin's talking.

I think it was Erotic City on the now defunct station KISS FM in the Bay Area. They played that one a lot.

I heard "Let's Go Crazy" on a classic replay of Casey Casem's top 40 on an Oldies station. It made my day. excited

I heard Do Me Baby yesterday over the PA system while in my local discount dollar store. I assumed it was the local R&B station (93FM) since Prince isn't on Pandora.

'I Could Never Take The Place of Your Man' on BBC 6Music this morning.

I'd say this track and a couple of others have recently been on the radio at least as often as they were when released!

Ah shame I missed it! I've been listening to BBC Radio 6Music all morning in the hope they would play my request for 'The Cross'. What are those other tracks you said that they play often?

Half an hour ago. In Arkwright's hardware store on Boar Lane, Leeds, Yorkshire. I was buying a crowbar, a rubber mallet and two bags of nuts and bolts. And as I was paying at the counter, The Most Beautiful Girl in the World came on the radio; my ears pricked up and I didn't want to leave the shop. I can now listen to Prince all day long at home and I'm okay... but when I hear his voice anywhere in the 'outside world', it stops me in my tracks. I want to yell: "HEY, EVERYBODY, LISTEN! THEY'RE PLAYING PRINCE ON THE RADIO!" Sigh.

Moonbeam Levels, yesterday afternoon

This is not music, this is a trip
No, it's not a drug, it's something more hip
Don't need no reefer, don't need cocaine
Purple music does the same to my brain

I heard 1999 on Sirius XM's The Groove station. They play a lot of old R&B from the 70s and 80s. I really wish that Sirius XM kept the Prince Tribute channel that they had right after Prince died.

I felt the same way when I heard When Doves Cry at Williams and Sonoma....I only went in for a sample of the peppermint bark but stayed for the whole song and forked out $20 for a candle I felt so good

Purple Rain album version on Radio Scotland about a month ago.

The last SINGLE to be played was 'The Greatest Romance'.

.

It was played to death but not a top 40 hit - oddly!.

.

Never heard a Prince single since (other than post mortem).

.

This is probably because since early 2000 he hadn't realeased a single - conventionally.

Ditto for me, too. I heard Delirious early last week at a local grocery store. I made my kids be quiet so I could listen. Why, I asked myself? It's not like I don't have the song sitting in the car, and it sounds better there, too! But it's just different.

Before that, my kids pointed out that 7 was playing on IKEA's sound system. Before that? Well, I don't think I've come across a Prince song on the radio for at least 10 years. Since I still get giddy, I think I'd remember. And I've never heard any of the new stuff, only rehashed '80s music.

So there we go. My musical heroes reduced to Muzak. Sigh.
