Yes ok but I was more thinking of distributing it to the casual fan, general public.

Laurianne - From the title it sounds like it could be a half sister to "Zannalee"

Strawberries

Emotional Crucifixion - Come on who isn't curious with a title like that.

Dance Of Desperation - Same as above. Very interesting title.

What it is

I Wanna Be Held Tonight

Come (Techno mix) - out of curiosity on my part
Alone In The Dark - Offered for inclusion on the "From Dusk Till Dawn" Soundtrack WTF?
Slave 2 The Funk

Strength

Dream

Angie (Prince version 19 minutes long!)

Jailhouse Rock (Prince version) - Assuming there is a studio version.
Watchtower/Best of you - Howard Stern has this?

Die, The Emancipation Proclamation, Moneyappolis, Muhammed Ali, The Divine, Happy Tears (assuming there is a song by the same title).

Also very keen to hear "The Holy River" remixes, especially the "dirtyhouse mix" because only Prince could record a song by that name then produce a "dirtyhouse mix". Pretty keen to hear the official Emancipation megamix too.

I suppose if it has to be for casual fans then give em "Mustang Mix 96". But TBH fuck the casual fans.

I would put out the complete albums as they were finished. Because complete albums do exist.

As for album configuration. I would refer to my thread on what should they release next.

Roadhouse Garden should be released with the 6 songs that are on it. Perhaps add a few classic songs with it.

99.9% of everything I say is strictly for my own entertainment

In the case of some albums you're right. However other albums - Prince may have had a title or concept but it'd be complete guess work as to what was on there unless he kept detailed notes.

For Example "Hart" was an acoustic album. But nobody seems to have any insight as to what was on it. The same can be said for "New World" - described by Mayte as a techno album...

Casual fans really don't care.
They just want the major hits.

To make it appealing to casual fans? Electric Intercourse, because it was (likely) planned to be on Purple Rain.

"Movie Star" is on Crystal Ball (disk 2 I think, but I could be wrong)

"Splash" was out the first month or two of the first year of NPG Music Club.

Vault releases shouldn't even be thinking of aiming themselves at casual fans imho

I know everone pipes up with "but think of the market" but once you go down that route you end up with the duets/remixes and the like and no one ends up being happy.

We need a decent best of 1993-2016 to get them up to speed on the actual released stuff. Probably a best of of his protege/side project stuff as well. Once people are on board with that then his fanbase expands...

I agree. Everything on the newly released 4ever was at least twenty years old.

Everything is okay as long as you use 'I Wonder' for the first single and Prince might have a small chance for another top10 hit.

and it is uptempo and to me has a sound that is more unique from other prince songs....it has almost a country sound. It has real heart and soul...

You say "based purely on stuff i've heard" then you go and list a song you've never heard in Katrinas Paper Dolls. Thats a bit random, why not I Am 5 or something else lol

How would you know? Just because it hasn't leaked, that doesn't mean I [or others] haven't heard it.
