Damn U and International Lover

First time this has ever happened but as I was listening to Damn U, International Lover whispered in my ear. Am I tripping or do these songs sound similar? Particularly the beginnings.

They don't really sound alike to me but I've been connecting Love Symbol to Come in a similar way a lot lately. Anyways, Damn U is his best ballad imo

I'll listen for similarities in Love Symbol and Come.

Damn U is absolutely gorgeous...even as a kid I remember being absolutely mesmerized.
