Over his lifetime and career, I'm sure Prince received many gifts from his Purple Peeps. What have you sent him and do you know if he actually got the gift?

In about 1994 or 1995, I was had a necklace with some random pewter shape hanging on it. At work, I jokingly adopted it as my name. I would trace the symbol on reminder cards for work (I worked in a salon), and my clients knew what it means.

I sent a birthday card in 1994 or so, maybe 1995. It was a simple card, but I traced the symbol inside as my signature, with the line "u're not the only 1". LOL It was so corny. I don't know if he ever got it or if anyone ever saw it. But I thought it was fun at the time.

No. To tell you the truth. Honestly. As much as I loved him, attended his concerts, bought everything he put out since the 80's. I was a little afraid of Prince. Everything I would read and hear around here and other places, made me feel that he was a little mean and unapprochable. I never thought he was 'fan friendly' at all. I know better now.

In the early 90's I made a puzzle and sent it to Paisley Park. I often wondered over the years did he get it and put it together to see what it looked like. I dreamed of walking through the halls of Paisley Park and seeing my puzzle mounted on the wall with a smiley face on it! (A sister can dream people)

I once sent him some CDs i bought & didn't like much. I remember one of them was an Elaine Elias CD. Can't remember what the others were.

Yes I actually sent Prince a few things ...but I think i only mailed things 2 or 3 times.... was years ago so my mind cloudy .... on the amount of Times...

How it started ....

He had given me some info..... when I 1st met... @ after party.....He told ....me where to send and what name to use..... to send him something.... I had....but I..... couldn't go to my car and get... at that time....long story....

He told me He ......would have a website.... up soon.....

I said cool he wanted ....me keep checking for the site... but send the mail off when ..... i got back home at some point .....but i forgot all the info/ cause this was my 1st ever P concert and i didn't know much of Him....

So I heard Of NPGMC was getting started ...it took a few months ..... ... so I was ready when the doors opened up!!!

@ the Computer ..... so about 3 weeks in2 the site ... there was a question ( The Theme Question ) of the day..... "Have you ever... met P "?

So I listened awhile......and whew.....ladies there were telling their stories then they start arguring about whether he liked white women, black,latin, thick skinny, fat etc....

I listened to them for like a hour..... then I said well I.don't know what he likes but ....i have met him and i'm African American... and I'm thick... few of them said i was lying lol!!!... Or said you.... must not be fully black......and/or mixed looking..... (lord i said no 1.... is pure...anymore.... i don't think) though have a mixed fam background....... I look African American...(fully to me !!!) .... ans was every bit of a size 10.....

So i said he was very nice and ...kind with me....and very gently took my hand and was just sweet... and we danced etc...

so anywh told my expereince and how i met him....and they kept saying i was lying ...well low and belhold P was there in the Chat and said.... she is Not Lying I remember her .... cause I'm P.....

LOL they said he was lying too!!!! and kept.....arguring lol ....

well then i was taken back like could it be HIM ?????... but just then...He ...PM'd me and told me where we met and details ...what i had on....etc.... We talk a good while... and then...when we were about to say Bye..... He Boldly said Where's My Gift ???

I was so shocked...... and stunded !! cause i kind of had put it out my mind....about the gift/s anywho I told him i would get them to him 24 next .....by the next day....I didn't go to chat i don't think the next day

so when i did go in to chat he was there ........

He was there and was like where's my mail ?

I was like I sent it .............He said what ??? So then he said how'd You send it i told.... him he said ok check in like 30 mins ....call....I'm going get it !!!he said i will be backand he....left the chat...

I said cool you have to sign for it.......... I called the number to check later and He had.... gotten the mail...

so thats my story... then once another time.... I sent mail.....same palce same name.... but regular mail i believe .... or could have been 2others times don't member

I knew somebody who worked at PP and was in charge of the mail around 2000 and they said everything was opened to make sure there weren't threats and then thrown away....no exceptions. Prince never saw anything. It made me sad because I had sent a few letters through the years

umma wouldn't say He didn't see anything.... cause some people had letter that were answered ...

or replies back..... But also I guess it depends on if P told you where to send things... or u had an approval....

other thing is maybe some those things were seen by him just not opened /up by him.... yes he had people in place ... but who's to say maybe something was special.... enough forsome1 to look at it open and say this something he want or need to hear....

But form my understanding.... he did get some his mail.... also as time he may have lighted up... some..

i do know of a story of why ... he didn't at time except ..things but as time went on i think there was so opening up....
