A live rendition of Joy In Repetition is on Tidal. I did not see this song a few days ago. I just saw this today. Not sure but I think it might be from the Atlanta show. If Tidal has no permission were are these files coming from and how come the administers if the estate are not doing anything to stop it? [Edited 11/14/16 4:19am]

Perhaps it was added before I signed up and removed and is now back up? Can you answer that question? With the articles yesterday I was wondering what is really going on with Tidal. Using the search feature on this board does not answer my questions. If you have something to add please do if not move on. |

I assume bluegangsta is suggesting you look at PrinceVault: http://princevault.com/in...Repetition
As you can see, one of the Sydney show peformances was released earlier in the year. I guess that's what you've come across.

We have established that it was on Tidal in March of 2016. I did not see this yesterday or the day before. Was it put back today and why given the news articles from yesterday. Why is it so hard to discuss anything on this board. [Edited 11/14/16 5:05am] |

I'd say it's hard to discuss things because we don't have possession of all the facts, just half-arsed stories floating around the Internet. I have no idea whether this had disappeared for a while, but it was a legit release when Prince was still with us and I don't see any reason why they shouldn't be allowed to offer it for sale now.

i'm no longer a member of tidal, but yesterday i went there again, to the store, because i read on the new thread about tidal, that they also have 'rave In2' in the store and thought i might snap it up since my copy (i never got the actual disc) sounds a bit off.
it wasn't until i was actually on the site again that i realised how hard some of it is to navigate or how totally illogical it is.
i couldn't find any albums in the store, apart from the few they give you as options when you go to the actual prince page on tidal. i tried clicking through again and again for about 15 minutes, doing all kind of stuff and finally just went to google and typed in 'prince tidal store rave in2' and got the direct link to Rave In2's store page from there.
i swear that if i didn't read about all those npgmc albums being in the store and in such amazing quality, right here on the org, i would have never known, because just searching on tidal didn't give me a single clue about them.
i do remember that it was also a bit hard (though not as hard as the store) to navigate some of the releases on the streaming part of the site. so it might have just slipped from view somehow and now you're relocated it?
anyway, it's a nice version. together with LRC/Dirty Mind and Black Sweat, it's a nice little EP of the piano & microphone experience. and true love lives on lollipops and crisps |

It's been on Tidal for months and was delivered by Prince before his passing. It was first available as a download, with streaming the following week. Shortly after, 'Little Red Corvette/Dirty Mind' appeared. Both are from the Sydney shows.
Despite what the Estate may or may not be saying, Prince was clearly working happily with Tidal right up until his passing. Even on the Monday before his death he gave Tidal 'Black Sweat' from Atlanta as the Purple Pick. |

Maybe it did slip from view because other people are saying they are having a hard time trying to navigate the streaming portion of the site. The on-line store is good but Tidal has done a terrible job marketing it and it is hard to get to unless you just Goggle it. I think Tidal is a good idea with wrong man running it. |

indeed. they could have promoted that prince catalogue they had on there so much better. even just to their own subscribers. i'm sure many more people would have bought those npgmc albums or some other rare stuff if they'd just known about it being available. bit of a shame.

I think they get more money out of the streaming then purchases. I do not know how many times I have told people Tidal has a store |

I did a trial subscription so I could download some of the music club releases that are so expensive elsewhere. I found it to be user Unfriendly, and had to spend some time just to navigate the site to find the store. Finally when I did download the 2 releases I wanted - One Night Alone and ONA-Live , they downloaded with the songs in alphabetical order only, which is ridiculous (especially for a concert!) The song Case of You also got downloaded seperately as a Joni Mitchell Tribute album cut rather than part of ONA. I tried to get the sequence right in Windows Player, but they reconfigured again in alphabetical order and without Case of You when I copied it to my phone. I finally reconfigured them in my phone as two of my playlists. My free trial was over and I did not continue it as a paid service. |

Thanks for reminding me to put on my offline playlist I asked Prince what he was planning to do. He told me , I'm going to look for the ladder. I asked him what that meant. All he said was, sometimes it snows in April. - book D.M.S.R. |

You don't need a subscription for the streaming service to download from their store.
I don't know about Windows Player but can't you just change the metadata of the songs adding tracknumbers so they get in the right sequence? (like iTunes can?) |
