I was a teenager at the time. Wendy and Lisa's relationship wasn't confirmed for awhile, but there was definately a vibe going on and rumors too. I think Prince had a closer relationship with them for a time. It had to be different, he was sleeping with her sister. As we've seen after his passing, there were a lot of them and he made the all feel special.

If you mean in the film PR he his kissing Wendy and she is just emotional no disdain for Prince kissing her.

Also Wendy loves / Prince like a brother no way would she hate Prince kissing her.

There was a Live Chat with Lisa, Susannah, and Wendy (advertised on this site) circa 2008 or 2009 during which this was mentioned. I may be very off regarding the date, so I would expand the dateline between 2007 and 2011. Perhaps someone here might assist in researching?

Well, it may have been entirely in jest, but that was not my interpretation of it at the time. W&L indicated during a Live Chat (sponsered on this Website), that they had both slept with Prince on more than one occasion (in a 'roll in the hay' kind of way). This isn't meant to suggest that they are not chiefly lesbian in their orientation, however.

It was actually during a Live Chat session promoted on this Website, sometime in the past 5-to-9 years. I am actively trying to locate the reference. I don't see why such a possible revelation, if it wasn't merely a joke, would be incompatible with an 'Uptown' way of life. Is it inconceivable someone as promiscuous as Prince could have had a few one-offs of this sort? Would W&L's sexual expression and identity, in their late teens and early twenties, and in the conservative environment of first half of the 1980s, have been so rigidly decided?

I think it was meant to show that Wendy was touched by Prince finally performing her and Lisa's song. Like Prince says 'and the academy award goes to...'

W&L relationship "unknown for years"?

The "Computer Blue" intro made it pretty clear.
Like leaving a closet wide open.
Pursuing a career as a duet was like a confirmation.
I wasn't suprised at all when it went public.

We probably owe a fair deal of Prince's creative spree during the mid-eighties
to the state of mind this odd situation put him into.
He was suspended in a state of grace for a while.
But I'm still puzzled about it, I wonder if Wendy and Susannah sporting
different haircuts and outfits is a hint that the girls themselves
started to find this situation... bizarre.

I don't have any experience with identical twins, but I suppose
that most of the time, the other sister/brother is someone you see occasionally
at family gatherings.

Working with one, then going to bed (and working some more) with the other, on a daily basis,
how many years can it last before blurry lines become a deep mist?
