Prince and W&L When Wendy joined the Revolution the relationship she shared with Lisa was unknown for years. As we know Prince soon started a serious relationship with her sister Susannah.Did the fact that they were romantically involved help strengthen the collaborations they started with Prince? I was a teenager at the time. Wendy and Lisa's relationship wasn't confirmed for awhile, but there was definately a vibe going on and rumors too. I think Prince had a closer relationship with them for a time. It had to be different, he was sleeping with her sister. As we've seen after his passing, there were a lot of them and he made the all feel special.

I think her reaction to Prince kissing her on the cheek was an indication she wasnt into guys. Or at least Prince:) [Edited 11/11/16 9:06am] "love's the only drug we do in here"-Prince

Characters that were basically the same people off camera. They all were talented musicians but inexperienced actors. Probably something prince threw in at the last minute.maybe a inside joke.Purple rain was not Gone with the wind it was a loose script simply based around the music [Edited 11/11/16 9:23am] "love's the only drug we do in here"-Prince

In reality yes they were close. Watching as a fan back then simply saying that where some band members start romantic relationships while playing together. With his relationship with Susannah behind the scenes and his status as a sex symbol. To us fans paying attention it could have been an answer about the new girl and her platonic relationship with prince. [Edited 11/11/16 9:37am] "love's the only drug we do in here"-Prince

That look of “eekiness” looked genuine to me. Wouldn’t you be freaked out if someone left spit on your cheek you couldn’t wipe off immediately?

. Both Lisa and Wendy have slept with Prince, per their own admission (but not in the public record). .

Their own admission? When and where? I've only heard of Lisa having something very very brief well before Wendy and Susannah were around.

. Well, it may have been entirely in jest, but that was not my interpretation of it at the time. W&L indicated during a Live Chat (sponsered on this Website), that they had both slept with Prince on more than one occasion (in a 'roll in the hay' kind of way). This isn't meant to suggest that they are not chiefly lesbian in their orientation, however. .

I don't think anyone ever heard this...

. It was actually during a Live Chat session promoted on this Website, sometime in the past 5-to-9 years. I am actively trying to locate the reference. I don't see why such a possible revelation, if it wasn't merely a joke, would be incompatible with an 'Uptown' way of life. Is it inconceivable someone as promiscuous as Prince could have had a few one-offs of this sort? Would W&L's sexual expression and identity, in their late teens and early twenties, and in the conservative environment of first half of the 1980s, have been so rigidly decided? . That face was supposed to be her overcome with emotion, not her disgusted by Prince!

. It's more than likely the product of nearly non-existent acting skills, and trying to reproduce the same emotional response after many inadequate takes. . [Edited 11/11/16 14:33pm]

Hey lay off, they're still a band right?

I think it was meant to show that Wendy was touched by Prince finally performing her and Lisa's song. Like Prince says 'and the academy award goes to...'

I read that Susannah was great in Prince's eyes because here was a heterosexual version of Wendy whom he shared a love of the guitar with. And regarding W&L, I think we have all read that back then at least, Prince liked watching two girls and sometimes joining in. Remember it was the 80s too. People were doing whatever.
