If Prince taught us anything, it's to be true to yourself. Everyone else is already taken, so it's best to just be yourself.

I know that I'll never be Prince. I admire his love for God, his generosity and his love for mankind. I've seen so many Artist who brag about the money and cars they have. Prince wasn't like that, he was so humble. How many celebrities do you know who has invited people 2 their home 2 party with them? I can recall only one other person that invited children in his home because he cared for them and it was used against him. i can't say his name because i don't think i can use Prince & this other artist name in the same post. i also admire how Prince did what he enjoyed in life which was writing, performing and creating music. All of his life his life he did what he enjoyed so it wasn't work 2 him.He had a very successful career. So when i say i want 2 be like Prince what i meant is i admire his character. All of my life i worked but I've never enjoyed what i was doing. i want 2 spend the rest of my life doing something that i enjoy which is performing my spoken words, freelance model and i would love 2 take dance lesson like I've have in the past.

Concerning the book i read this was four years ago so i can't remember the name. You're right, i do remember as i was reading they always wrote that their info concerning Prince came from a source. Tina, Larry Graham, My mother in the hat and Poetic Ladychelle

My Uncle George was in the movie Graffiti Bridge and Rave un 2 the year of 2000. He's has been touring since he was 18 yrs old. He's very busy and I've heard Prince was a hard man 2 meet. I really wish i would have went 2 Minnesota sooner and reconnected with Larry & Tina Graham. We all have something in common, We're Jehovah Witnesses. Prince was also a Jehovah Witness and he were friends with Larry & Tina. I believe i could have met Prince through them. My mother and i met Larry and Tina when i was 16yrs old. We went 2 Larry's concert and afterwards we had dinner with them. The next mourning we went 2 the Kingdom Hall together. The last time i seen them was about 15 yrs ago. If i could turn back the hands of time i would have asked my uncle or Larry & Tina 2 help me meet Prince. I thought i had plenty of time.

Wow, there's a hell of a tough crowd in here. It's pretty obvious you need to have a thick skin to say something about yourself on the Org and survive.

I think you look amazing. I love the way you put yourself out there in the way you write and the image you project. I hope you can finally achieve the things you've been dreaming about. It's so easy for life to get in the way of what we really want to do, or rather, it's so easy to get in our own way. Prince always went after what he wanted, ignoring - perhaps feeding off - the hate on his journey. He should be an inspiration to us all. I wish you the very best on your journey.

Second of all, your dream, your journey... and I'm sure if Prince has inspired you to anything, it's to understand that there are always those who are ready to criticise and put down anyone or anything that strays away from their own perfect views and opinions. I bow down to those who lecture you on the subject of biographies and autobiographies, they must have left you feeling awfully foolish; I know even with my two degrees and my masters I feel so inferior to such intelligent souls.

Actually you are in pretty good company, because almost everything that Prince did during the years that this site has existed was criticised, pulled to pieces and judged by some..... and this is HIS fan site, so you probably stood no chance of getting universal love and support with your post.

I realize that time waits for no one and It's a challenge at my age 2 pursue a career in being a spoken word artist. My children always reminds me that I'm a spoken word artist not a rapper. I love 2 write what's in my heart. Thank you for the compliments & support.

Yes it's nice 2 be back on the org even though I'm reminiscing on the past. They had me crying like a baby, lol.

It's hard 2 explain how the hurtful comments are bringing back some good memories and it will also help me 2 push harder 2 pursue my goals.

With all of the connections that i have I hate that i didn't push harder 2 meet Prince.

Thank you for your kind words. I can relate with Prince in so many ways. i may look amazing on the outside but my body hurts on the inside.

The more that I'm criticised it will only make me stronger.
